suggestion: saving old binaries during installation
Just as a suggestion, I liked the way the ssh.com's ssh would move the old binaries to filename.old then install the new ones....so that way you have an old copy to revert back to if needed (without copying them all by hand).

with-tcp-wrappers enable ?
Hello, I try to compile openssh-2.9p1 on a SGI Origin 200 computer under IRIX 6.5 with the option --with-tcp-wrappers enable. I have also compiled tcp-wrapper and have installed the library libwrap.a in /usr/lib and the file tcpd.h in /usr/include. When i run the ./configure script i have a error. The script asked me that the libwrap is missing. How can i resolve this ? Thanks. Bests Regards

PATCH: HPUX trusted system password checking
Dear developers, The HPUX 10.20 trusted system hack doesn't work yet as intended. I have adapted the auth-passwd.c file to make it work. Please find a context diff file attached to this file. This diff is against the latest OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 released Sept 2, 2000. Also on HPUX 10.20, xauth is not found at the standard location. Perhaps this standard location could be changed automagically

locked account accessable via pubkey auth
maybe this is a silly question ;-) But why is it possible to login on a machine with a locked account (passwd -l ) via pubkey-authentication (authorized_keys) ? I use OpenSSH3.01p1on Solaris8 with PAM support so I thought this should not happen. If this is the normal behaviour and built in intentionally what would be the easiest way to lock an account without deleting the users authorized_keys ?

[Bug 585] sshd core dumping on IRIX 6.5.18 with VerifyReverseMapping enabled
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585 ------- Additional Comments From dtucker at zip.com.au 2003-07-07 00:32 ------- dmalloc (http://dmalloc.com/) claims to work on IRIX. It's likely to increase the CPU and memory load, though. I've built with dmalloc on Linux thusly: LDFLAGS=-ldmalloc ./configure && make eval `dmalloc -l /path/to/log high` ./sshd [options]

Latest CVE's For MySQL
Looks like a series of vulnerability alerts for Oracle MySQL have been issued: CVE-2018-2562, CVE-2018-2647 (both high), CVE-2018-2645, CVE-2018-2646, CVE-2018-2665 (all three medium). This affects versions 5.7.20 and prior. I know CentOS/RedHat usually do backports--anybody know if this is the case, or do we have to go 'outside' now, and get the MySQL repository to use, for the

Problems With Booting CentOS on Dell T7910
Hello! Does anyone have any experience with installing CentOS 6 (specfically, 6.8), on a Dell T7910? I've tried at least a dozen installs, everything gets configured, and when I have the system reboot, I get 'No boot device found press any key to reboot the machine'. PATCH: pidfile/sigterm race
If one is using the pidfile as an indicator of sshd's status, it is possible to kill sshd before the sigterm handler gets installed, since the pidfile is written out before the signal handlers are setup. The solution is to simply write the pidfile after the signal handlers are setup. Here's the patch. Rob --- sshd.c.orig Fri Jun 22 11:16:41 2001 +++ sshd.c Fri Jun 22 11:18:32 2001 @@

pw_expire/pw_change in current portable openssh CVS bombs
The references to pw_expire and pw_change in pwcopy() in misc.c cause compilation errors at least on solaris. How about doing a memcpy of the whole structure and only explicitly setting those that need xstrdup? That would work on openbsd and everywhere else. - Dave Dykstra --- misc.c.O Thu Jun 21 11:35:28 2001 +++ misc.c Thu Jun 21 11:36:09 2001 @@ -125,14 +125,10 @@ { struct passwd *copy =
