Makefile objdirs patch
I've attached a patch which fixes a minor Makefile glitch when
building in a different directory than the source directory. The
patch is relative to OpenSSH 2.3.0p1.
Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.

[patch/Cygwin]: Simplify host key generation in ssh-host-config script
Hi,
as the subject says, the below patch just simplifies the host
key generation in the Cygwin-specific ssh-host-config script.
Rather than testing and generating each key, call ssh-keygen -A.
Could somebody with checkin rights please apply?
Thanks,
Corinna

program-prefix does not work
the configure option --program-prefix does not work although it is
listed in teh configure --help output.
The attached patch fixes these issues:
1) program prefix is not substituted in configure
2) program prefix is not present in Makefile
3) scp requires use of a known "scp" program

New configuration scripts for Cygwin
Hi,
I have attached two new shell scripts `ssh-host-config' and
`ssh-user-config' which will replace the script `ssh-config'
in the next Cygwin OpenSSH release.
Could somebody with write access please remove
contrib/cygwin/ssh-config
from the OpenSSH repository and add these two attached files
instead?
The third attached file is the diff for contrib/cygwin/README.

Attached is a spec file for OpenSSH on SuSE 6.4 and 7.0 systems.
It differs from the current spec file in the following details:
- Only one rpm file is created containing client and server files.
- PreReq `openssl-devel' is changed to `openssl'.
- Path '/usr/libexec/ssh' is changed to '/usr/lib/ssh' for
ssh-askpass and gnome-ssh-askpass.

problem with installing openssh on HP/UX
Hi,
I am trying to install openssh on an HP:
acro-284> uname -a
HP-UX niit1 A.09.01 A 9000/730 2015353714 two-user license
There were a couple of problems during compiling:
1. The system doesn't have seteuid or setreuid. It has setresuid. I
had to define HAVE_SETREUID and modify bsd-misc.c to be:
#if !defined(HAVE_SETEUID) && defined(HAVE_SETREUID)
int seteuid(uid_t euid)

OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 on Compaq Alpha
Hello,
I have installed OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 on a DEC AlphaServer 4000 under Tru64 UNIX 4.0F
and on a DEC AlphaStation 200 under Tru64 UNIX 5.1.
I tested Protocol 2 and 1 with RAS authentication resp. DSA authentication an
both work well.
There is one bug: I cannot view the man pages for OpenSSH under Compaq Tru64
UNIX. Are they in a special format which is not understood by the Tru64 UNIX man

ssh-keygen: passphrase.
Looking at openSSH INSTALL:
To generate a host key, run "make host-key". Alternately you can do so
manually using the following commands:
ssh-keygen -b 1024 -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_key -N ""
ssh-keygen -d -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key -N ""
But when I try latter, I get:

openssh cross compilation issue
Hi,
I'm cross compiling openSSH-6.2p1 on a ARM architecture
with
zlib-1.2.7
openssl-1.0.1e
the compilation succeeds but when I launch sftp x.y.z.t it fails:
exec: /home/working_area/disk1/usr/bin/ssh: No such file or directory
the problem is that /home/working_area/disk1/ is the path within the host PC
Is there a way to fix the cross-compilation or to export a variable in
the target

help with openssh
Can anybody help me with this : ?
I first generated rsa key with this :
ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key
then I went on to generate the DSA key too....(just incase my SSHD does not
like RSA).
ssh-keygen -t dsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key
and then I ran
root at 00_00_09_PECA_NP1:/usr/bin# sshd -d -d -d -d -d -d -d -d -d

[PATCH/cygwin]: Revised sshh-host-config script
Hi,
could somebody with checkin rights please apply the below patch?
It would be helpful to have this in 5.9p1.
I revamped the Cygwin-specific service installer script ssh-host-config.
The actual functionality is the same, the revisited version is just more
exact when it comes to check for problems which disallow to run certain
aspects of the script. So, part of this script and the also

Re: persistent ssh_host_keys
I believe you should support authorized_keys as well.
