compiling 2.3 src RPMs
i'm have some trouble rebuilding src rpms for 2.3 on a
(mostly) redhat 6.2 machine. i have updated a few of
the libraries, and am running rpm version 3.0.4-0.48,
which is pretty recent i think.
the problem is that the openssh rpm doesn't seem to actually
produce an rpm file(s). i run it, everything seems to
compile ok, it looks like it tries to build the rpms, but
then i can find

Another round of testing calls.
Outside the known 'Hang-on-exit' bug and the Solaris 'PAM_TTY_KLUDGE'
required. *WHAT* other issues *MUST* be address before 3.0 which is
approaching fast?
Those running NeXTStep I need conformation that it works under NeXT. My
current Slab is packed in a storage unit due to a fire in my apartment
complex (happened above me so I'm wrapping up dealing with that crap =).

Call for testers.
http://bass.directhit.com/openssh_snap/
Starting tonight I plan on tracking changes very closely with the OpenBSD
tree. I need people to test the latest snapshot (9/14 at of right now)
and report success or failure on compiling.
I am starting this now because we are looking at a code freeze soon and I
really want to ensure it compiles and runs on all existing platforms. So

X11 forwarding problem -- openssh-3.5p1 -- redhat 8.0 -- linux 2.4.18
All,
I'm working on upgrading a machine from RH 6.2 to RH 8.0. I've
encountered one major (for me) snag in that I cannot get X11 forwarding to
work anymore.
I've been google-ing the error messages all morning, with no luck.
Here is debugging output from the server (client debugging output sent
upon request... I don't feel it is relevant). What I feel is interesting

Another shapshot
I have just uploaded another snapshot to:
http://www.mindrot.org/misc/openssh/openssh-SNAP-20001028.tar.gz
Please test this one extra hard, it is likely to become 2.3.0p1 early
next week.
Regards,
Damien Miller

ActMethods has been removed from the module tree ???
Hello,
I wrote a light weight version of acts_as_attachment and this has been
working fine for some time now (about a week). Now i get the title
error:
ActMethods has been removed from the module tree but is still active!
I have updated edge rails a few times as my project uses

PATCH: Round 2: RH initscripts backward compatibility
I've cleaned up Pekka Savola's newly revised sshd.init and additional
sshd-functions and modified them to work they way i've been arguing
they should work.
Compatibility functions are defined in ./contrib/redhat/sshd-functions,
which should get installed no matter what release of Red Hat Linux
OpenSSH is getting built for, to be consistent across releases.
