more rpm problems...

2.6.9-42.ELsmp kernel and 3ware 9550 tools
I have the latest kernel with the drivers for my 3ware 9550SX built in. Where can I find the tools and monitoring apps for this card? Are there rpms hiding somewhere, or do I need to build it from source? -- Bowie

contrib/redhat/openssh.spec question
I have a couple of questions regarding openssh.spec and the rpm that gets generated from it. I am using 2.3.0p1 1. Why is openssl a prereq? openssh statically links to openssl during build by default (rightfully so, you don't want your security library a shared object if possible) 2. I don't understand the following line in the spec file during the install step (it makes it not build for

Another round of testing calls.
Outside the known 'Hang-on-exit' bug and the Solaris 'PAM_TTY_KLUDGE' required. *WHAT* other issues *MUST* be address before 3.0 which is approaching fast? Those running NeXTStep I need conformation that it works under NeXT. My current Slab is packed in a storage unit due to a fire in my apartment complex (happened above me so I'm wrapping up dealing with that crap =). -

Distribution of openssh once compiled
Folks: Thanks to all who helped me get ssh up and running on my development box. Now I want to make a distribution package to take and install on the rest of my network. I am not sure what to transfer from box to box and what to run to get started. I did the install on the dev box and all tested fine. Is there a "standard distribution" list of only files required for running ssh on

building CentOS rpms?
Hello, I'd like to get in to rpm building and am looking for a CentOS specific document if any to get me going? I want to repackage an existing rpm and give it different runtime options so it'll work on a server, and make an rpm at least one probably more, and then submit them to the rpmforge repo. Googling showed me some old Suse docs on this subject. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

RPMs
Hi, I think my problem is related to the way i make my RPMs (i'm newbie at this). Two things: 1) the generated RPMs are only 1,5 kb size. That's inpossible. 2) The rpmbuild -ba zbr.spec indeed installs the software in the building stage. That's odd, isn't it ? Following my signature is an openssl.spec file Any help would be appreciated. Warm regards, M?rio Gamito --

Trouble with install, still
I've tried building it on a server that I know has pretty much every library possible for a program to need, but I'm still not getting a good samba install. I'm on white-dwarf linux (kernel 2.4.25), gcc 3.3.2, Samba 3.0.2a White-dwarf is home-grown, very much like slackware. When I configure and make and make install, I don't get any errors, but I when I look for some files
