UPS Socomec is unavailable appears in the logs
Hello,
we have two UPSes - one Galaxy and one from Socomec, both monitored by the NUT server.
The NUT server runs the version 2.7.2.
We have roughly 3500 clients running upsmon, reading the status of both
UPSes. They run mainly the version 2.6.4 and some 2.7.2.
We observed the following on both client versions, regardless whether
we run upsmon in the daemon or debug mode:

Segmentation fault with latest 1.1 revision
Hello,
I am trying 1.1 branch and I experience a segmentation fault upon ALRM signal.
This looks like a race condition.
I have my tincd daemon instantiated manually in if-up.d/jmuchemb (without IF_TINC_NET) and when if-up.d/tinc runs, it sends a ALRM signal that makes tincd crash.
It fails here:
Core was generated by `tincd -D -n jmuchemb -d -o ConnectTo srv -o srv.Address 81.x.y.z -o

net ads join: Aborted
I'm having trouble getting a host to join an ADS domain/realm. I have smb.conf set correctly, with the workgroup, realm, and security = ads specified. However, when I try to join with the command: net ads join -U Administrator, I simple get the message "Aborted" and it does not join the domain. If I use the -d flag to enable debugging, I see the following toward the end of the

sshd blocks SIGALRM
Gidday everbody,
We have just found an interesting issue regarding the sshd daemon on our
SuSE system. For some reasons, the /usr/sbin/sshd process blocks SIGALRM as
shown in the /proc/pid/status:

Re: RBD volume not made available to Xen virtual guest on openSUSE 15.2 (with libvirt 6.0.0)
It's QEMU 4.2.1-lp152.9.6.1.
I've tried updating it from the Open Build Service repos but there's too
many version conflicts.

RBD volume not made available to Xen virtual guest on openSUSE 15.2 (with libvirt 6.0.0)
Hi there,
Since upgrading to openSUSE 15.2 (which includes libvirt 6.0.0) the
virtual guests don't get their RBD disks made available to them. On
openSUSE 15.1 (which includes libvirt 5.1.0) that worked fine. The XML
is as follows:

[PATCH] bug in check_parent_exists() in ssh-agent.c
The check_parent_exists() function in ssh-agent.c does this:
if (parent_pid != -1 && kill(parent_pid, 0) < 0)
however, the kill can fail with EPERM even if the parent_pid
exists. For example, consider this command:
ssh-agent sh -c 'ssh-add ; exec sudo sh -i'
The original ssh-agent process sets things up so that the "sh -c '...'"
process is

Re: RBD volume not made available to Xen virtual guest on openSUSE 15.2 (with libvirt 6.0.0)
Thanks Jim,
Looking at the logs for the working and non-working setups, the command
line for QEMU is identical and the qmp commands almost the same: they
both do "query-chardev" and "query-vnc" and the working setup does an
additional "qmp_capabilities" which is likely not relevant.
So I guess it must be in QEMU - I'll head over to the bug tracker.
Thanks

Patch to allow openssh-2.2.0-p1 to be started from /etc/inittab
The following patch allows OpenSSH 2.2.0-p1 to be started (and managed)
from /etc/inittab (by "init") on systems which support that. This is
useful when you *really* want SSHD to always run since it will be
automatically restarted by "init" if it dies (and if "init" dies the
the systems dies :-).
I use a line (in /etc/inittab) like this on Solaris systems:

SSSD and usermod
Hi!
How to get usermod working with SSSD/389DS ?
We have SSSD set up on our server and it uses 389DS.
SSSD was enabled with the following command:
authconfig --enablesssd --enablesssdauth --ldapbasedn=dc=example,dc=com
--enableshadow --enablemkhomedir --enablelocauthorize --update
Running for example "usermod -L username" returns:
usermod: user 'username' does not exist in

Rewritten script /etc/init.d/tinc
THis is the modified script that came with tinc 1.0pre2, and it now uses ifconfig in stead of
ip-route.
I changed the syntax to be correct (may already have been fixedin a newer version), it now checks
whether or not there is a '/dev/tapX' or a '/dev/netlink/tapX' and it checks if there is a module or
not.
I also added the force_connect and the reload options. Force_connect send
