reinstalling SIGCHLD handler before wait()
HP-UX 11 is looping on SIGCHLD/sigchld_handler2() when exiting a
protocol 2 session apparently because we don't call wait before
reinstalling the handler. Any thoughts on this issue or how to address
it?

SFTP Status Bar..
This is the LAST version I plan on doing.. If I hear no feed back good
or bad. Then I'll assume I've wasted my time on a feature that people
whine about but don't care to try. This is against 3.0.2pX so it
should be VERY easy for anyone to test.

Two patches for OpenSSH 3.1p1 (fwd)
Can I get people from other platforms to test the waitpid.patch to see
if it solves hang-on-exit on their platform?
I can confirm Solaris at this moment (but I've not done heavy testing at
this moment) that is works like a charm (Solaris 7). It handles 'sleep
90&' vs 'nohup sleep 90&' correctly (killed, vs left).
thanks.

[Bug 100] serverloop.c modifications for correct UNICOS behavior
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100
------- Additional Comments From mouring at eviladmin.org 2002-04-06 06:52 -------
The following code was committed to OpenSSH to catch some SysV issue. Does
this keep UNICOS happy?

AIX authenticate patches
Here are some patches to re-enable support for AIX's authenticate
routines. With them, ssh will honor locked & unlocked accounts, record
successful and unsuccessful logins, and deny accounts that are
prohibited to log in via the network. Tested with AIX 4.3.
It also includes a fix for handling SIGCHLD that may be needed for
other platforms (HP-UX 10.20, for example).

Patches for Cray T3Es running Unicossmk and SV1s running Unicos
This patch is against Cray patch against openssh-SNAP-20010710. Here
a few notes about them:
1) rijndael does not work on cray due to the fact it is rooted in 32 bits.
I looking for a fix, it may come form Wendy Palam. For now the cray
default to the following cihpers for ssh version 2 ssh are:
3des-cbc,blowfish-cbc,cast128-cbc,arcfour
2) Crays don't have setitimer so I

Openssh-2.1.0p1 test release
This to announce a test release of 2.1.0p1 before making it widely
available.
This release includes many fixes to problems reported over the last
week. In particular:
- spurious error and coredumps caused by the inbuilt entropy gathering
- RSAref detection
- Compilation fixes for Solaris and others
It also contains (completely untested) support for compiling without
RSA support. This may be

[PATCH] AIX password expiration
Hi All.
With one eye on the do_pam_chauthtok() stuff I've merged contributions
by Pablo Sor and Mark Pitt into a patch against -current. I'm
interested in testers and suggestions for improvements.
The patch extends the loginrestrictions test to include expired
accounts (but unlike Mark's patch, doesn't log accounts with expired
passwords unless they're locked) and adds

OpenSSH 2.5.0p1
Known issues:
1) Linux 'sleep 20' -- Unfixable before 2.5.0 (known work around)

3) SCO 2/ Native Compiler -- Unfixable before 2.5.0 (known work around)
4) NeXTStep -- Resynced, MAX_GROUPS vs NGROUPS unresolved (not major)
5) DG/UX regcomp/regexec -- Fixed.

OpenSSH 2.5.0p1 vs. SA_RESTART
Not all OSes have SA_RESTART (for instance, SunOS does not).
Also, for the non-SA_RESTART case in scp.c sa.sa_flags
was not being initialized (noted by dworkin at village.org).

[PATCH] PAM chauthtok + Privsep
Hello All.
Attached is an update to my previous patch to make do_pam_chauthtok and
privsep play nicely together.
First, a question: does anybody care about these or the password
expiration patches?
Anyway, the "PRIVSEP(do_pam_hauthtok())" has been moved to just after
the pty has been allocated but before it's made the controlling tty.
This allows the child running chauthtok to

sigchld_handler2.
On 2.3.0p1, we have been experiencing the SSH2 stdout truncation problem
that was reported by a few users.
I built the 20010115 snapshot. It seems to correct the problem but
before I was able to test it, I had to change sigchld_handler2 so it
would not reset the signal handler before waitpid is called. On Irix, it
seems a SIGCHLD is delivered for ever...
I haven't tried the last snapshots so

Call for testing for 3.5 OpenSSH
OpenBSD tree is heading into a lock and this includes OpenSSH. So we are
winding up for a 3.5 release. If we can get people to test the current
snapshots and report any problems that would improve the odds that your
platform won't be broke for 3.5.
Issues I know off of right now.
1. I can't test NeXT. So I TRULY need someone in that community to test
for me. Last I heard there was

OpenSSH solaris: bad return code after exec of remote command
Hi OpenSSH developers,
I am using openSSH (now 2.9.9p2, but prob occurs in 2.9p2 also) to execute
commands on a remote machine which outputs data to stdout then pipes it to
another invocation of ssh which connects back to the first machine in the same
way, where it starts a program to read and store the output from the command on
the second machine. I am using the "command" option in

openssh on NeXTstep
Hi all,
I've been running OpenSSH portable on NeXTstep 3.3 since version
2.5.something with no/little problems. 3.7.1p1 still compiles fine but
sshd hangs at startup. I've tried to debug it but when stepping through
sshd using gdb it segfaults in mysignal in bsd-misc.c instead of hanging.
Before I dig any deeper into this I'd like to know if there's anybody else

Updated Cray patch against openssh SNAP-20010725
This patch fixes my botched attempted to patch deattack.c.
I created a bsd-cray.h file and cleaned up a few error cases
in bsd-cray.c. Fixed cray_setup call to pass uid and login name
in session.c and moved its call so that its called with root privs.
Its been tested on a irix, sun, aix, unicos(SV1) and unicosmk(T3E)
systems.
If you are building this on a T3E you may have to edit the Makefile
