Patch for systems with no setreuid()
Sorry if I'm duplicating an existing patch, but...
On systems with no seteuid() that have setreuid() there is an
emulation, but if both are lacking (but we do have setresuid()),
nothing is done. The following seems to be right, but I've only got
one machine (running an ancient version of HP-UX) which needs this so
it may not be general:

[PATCH]: configure.in: Missing check for setvbuf
Hi,
in configure.in the patch for `setvbuf' is missing while in
sftp-int.c the HAVE_SETVBUF define is used:

configure.in fixes for 2.9.9p2
configure.in patches for 2.9.9p2:
1. Allow --with-pcre to take a path specifying the root of the
PCRE install (ROOT/include, ROOT/lib)
2. Ditto for --with-zlib
3. $no_libnsl and $no_libsocket can be determined programmatically
4. Check for innetgr, getspnam, and util in the default $LIBS before
checking in -lrpc, -lgen, and -lutil, respectively
5. dirname() is in -lgen on some

Problems with UsePrivilegeSeparation (was: port fwd as user != root?
I just upgraded to OpenSSH3.2.3p1 as it seemed that
UsePrivilegeSeparation yes
might help with my problem (connections forwarded
are owned by root instead of the user I logged in as
on the server), but instead, sshd barfs on receiving
a connection. Without UsePrivilegeSeparation
the server works fine.

This was just recently added. Does cygwin even have getrlimit and
setrlimit? IIRC correctly, it doesn't. So, perhaps these functions need
to be written differently for Cygwin. What's the equivalent win32 call?
If cygwin

We've run into a situation where the Dovecot master process "dovecot"
runs out of file descriptors on Solaris 10 since the default is
only 256:

Then, please fix it to not use RLIMIT_RSS in the cygwin case. Perhaps
you should just use RLIMIT_AS for cygwin. It will trigger sooner than
RLIMIT_RSS but that's probably okay.

Unable to build 'lld' on Mac OS 10.9
Hi All,
I am trying to build the 'lld' linker on Mac OS 10.9, but during the build, I am getting the errors. Following are the steps that I have followed:
1. I have downloaded the ‘llvm-stable’ source code from the following location:
https://github.com/llvm-mirror/llvm/tree/stable
2. Machine details(on which llvm source code isbeing built) are as follows:

[LLVMdev] LLVM Cygwin build RLIMIT_RSS configuration problem
Hi Reid,
Cygwin 'sys/resource.h' has get/setrlimit() functions support for
RLIMIT_DATA and RLIMIT_AS but not RLIMIT_RSS.

NeXT Community
I need someone in the NeXT community to apply this to 3.5 and tell me if
it solves the mmap issue where it misdetects a working mmap().
My NeXT box is packed up. If you know anyone in Minnesota that wants a
68k-25mhz Slab w/ 2 B&W monitors, 2 keyboards, 2 mice, NeXT printer and
OS. Have them email me. I won't ship it, but I have no more time to be
handling an OS this old. =) I have no

Using the latest cvs sources, the compilation of ssh.c fails.
The 'struct rlimit rlim;' line is being expanded by cpp into
'struct rlimit64 rlim;' and there is no struct rlimit64 defined.
In order to get the struct rlimit64 to be included when the
#include <sys/resource.h>
is used, it appears to need the _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE symbol defined OR
it needs the '#if

Modules Maintaining or Removing
Hallo all,
I was trying to Build LLVM with the cmake option LLVM_ENABLE_MODULES
just out of curiosity. I used the RELEASE_400/final tag.
It didn't work as I almost expected.
So I'm wondering if the modulemaps aren't maintained anymore?
If they aren't maintained anymore, why aren't they removed and that
cmake option also removed?

[LLVMdev] LLVM Cygwin build RLIMIT_RSS configuration problem
Okay I have put a #ifdef HAVE_RLIMIT_RSS round the RSS code.
There needs to be logic added to config system to complement this.
Or shall I just use an #ifdef _CYGWIN_ ?
Regarding the Bytecode writer stuff. I will try adding some inline
dis-ambiguator functions.

configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below)
I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in
to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option.
Basicly I have set it up to
check headers
check system libraries
check for optional packages
check functions
I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important
on some platforms.
This patch works on
Solaris

I'm trying to do a build and install on Windows 10 with Visual Studio

INSTALL target fails with the following error:
