ssh problem
It was simple, I left out /usr/ccs/bin out of my path during compilation.
Thanks,
Christian

Hello
I apologise for sending this in in no particular format, but I do not have

I have just downloaded openssh-2.3.0p1 for installation on my Slackware

Pentium). As instructed, I also obtained and installed zlib-1.1.3 and

Error when compiling for Solaris7
I cannot make openssh on Solaris.
The 'make' fails on the first file.
Here are the commands and the output.
Essentially, I pre-built EGD, SSL, and ran:
configure
make
make errors are listed at the bottom.
Can anyone help me get this compiled on Solaris7?

openssh-2.1.1p1 on Irix6.2 report
I've had fairly good sucecss with the portable OpenSSH 2.1.1p1 on Irix
6.2. There's one major nit, and a few things that configure got
wrong. I'm kinda deep in real work at the moment, so I don't have
time to delve heavily, but since configure specifically asked for
feedback on this port, I'm obliging.
The biggest problem I've run into so far is in the builtin PRNG

openssh 1.2pre13 on Linux/i386 RH4.2 problems
Can't compile sshd.c because of pam errors. The errors are attached
below, and I apologize for the >75 chars a line. RH4.2, with the

Request for change in ssh-askpass location after pre12
I've been working on a NetBSD package for openssl-1.2pre12, and I've
noticed that Makefile.in installs ssh-askpass in $prefix/lib/ssh ($libdir)
instead of $libexecdir/ssh. Since it is an executable, IMHO it should be
in the latter spot.
In the patch below, I've fixed this, as well as made ASKPASS_PROGRAM
used during the install so that it's easier to maintain.
Thanks,
David

Testing for the 4.4p1 release
Hi,
The 4.4p1 release is approaching now, so we are now asking people to
actively test snapshots or CVS and report back to the mailing list.
Snapshots are available from http://www.mindrot.org/openssh_snap or
from any of the mirrors listed on http://www.openssh.org/portable.html
The latter page also includes instructions for checking out portable
OpenSSH via anonymous CVS.

winelib runs but wine ok.... Why??
Hi all,
I have a small program (~10k lines) that just uses elementry API (like
SendMessage). It compiles under Borland C++ Builder 5.5.1 (for win exe)
and under g++ with winlib. The problem is that the Builder EXE runs
perfectly with WINE __BUT__ the library built with winlib does not run -
spits out a segmentation faul @ line 400 (whatever that means) and some
Error 139 with nothing else.

openssh on AIX v4.3.3 with native compiler
Hello,
Was looking in the archives... and haven't seen this one listed.
When I compile openssh-1.2pre17 on AIX v4.3.3 with the native compiler
I get the following errors. I haven't see this __attribute__ code.. What
compiler/libraries are needed to compile this? I have seen that people
have compiled openssh on AIX.. Just wondering what you have used.

sunos 4.1.4 Makefile and regex.[ch] fix
Hi,
At the office, there is an old ss5 box running sunos 4.1.4.
I have configured openssh using gcc on this machine.
In doing so, I found a few compilation and configuration problems.
1. Compilation Problem.
SunOS 4.1.4 doesn't have regex.h header nor the entry points regex.c
is supposed to offer.
Solution.
Copy regex.c and regex.h from, say, GNU awk distribution to
the openssh directory
