ListenAddress option.
How do I compile OpenSSH so that I can use:
ListenAddress 0.0.0.0
in my sshd_config file ?
Currently I get:

redirect_to not working
Hi... I have a basic authentication system. I have a RESTful resource
called session with the following code when logging in:

end
def create
user = User.authenticate(params[:username], params[:password])
respond_to do |format|
if user
session[:user_id] = user.id
flash[:notice] = "Welcome back #{user.name}!"

SELinux and samba/winbind w/ADS on RHEL 4.6
SELinux appears to be interfering with winbind's functionality.
I have the lastest policy package installed:
selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.149
which allegedly solves this problem according to the RedHat knowledge
base, but clearly does not. I have to turn off SELinux by using
setenforce 0 (permissive) to get winbind to work at all, and based on
what I see in the log files,

help with rebuilding md0 (Raid5)
Sorry, this is going to be a rather long post...Here's the situation; I
have 4 IDE disks from an old snap server which fails to mount the raid
array. We believe there is a controller error on the SNAP so we've put
them in another box running CentOS 5 and can see the disks OK.
hda thru hdd looks like this
Disk /dev/hdd: 185.2 GB, 185283624960 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 22526

My fault (not ext3's!) and kernel panic on 2.4.7 .
Hello all.
I was playing with tune2fs to see how large the .journal file should
be on a 17G partition with 512M ram (it's 32M, by the way).
I am using plain 2.4.7 with ext3-2.4-0.9.4-247,
compiled with gcc-2.96-85 on a RH7.1 distribution with the relevant
changes, i.e. e2fsprogs-1.22-1, mount-2.11g-4 and
util-linux-2.11f-3 taken from rawhide.
I don't have any ext3 statement in /etc/fstab,

CentOS 4.4 on Dell PE 6400 - not rebooting ...
Hi All,
This is my first post ... I *HAD* been trying to get RHEL AS 4 onto
this Dell PE 6400/700, but it just wouldn't go without some weird
tweaking.
I am VERY happy to say that CentOS 4.4 installed without a hitch!
NICELY done folks!
The only real issue for me is that the machine fails to reboot or
shutdown correctly.
It requires physical interaction with the power switch,

Compiz Community
Hello,
I'm new to compiz and to this list but I'd like to contribute. I couldn't find
a more appropriate place to ask a few questions about the compiz project
(which is actually my first question).
1. Since the apparent compiz/beryl fork I don't see a compiz "community" site.
Is there one?
2. Is compiz going to continue to be developed, and if so, is there a road

tsdiag() titles
I am using the ts package to fit ARIMA models, and the tsdiag() function to
plot diagnostics. In doing so I'm generating an awful lot of diagnostic
plots of different models and different data sets all within the same R
session. So my question is, is there an option in tsdiag() similar to
<main="Title"> that I can use? This would be quite helpful when I print out
the plots,

core dumped messages from tune2fs
I decided to start using ext3. My kernel 2.4.15p9.
I downloaded and build util-linux-2.11m
and e2fsprogs 1.25.
I compiled ext3 in the kernel.
I started converting my filesystems and thing went ok for the first few.
I then started getting the following on each additional filesystem.
[root@joker /root]# tune2fs -j /dev/hdc4
tune2fs 1.25 (20-Sep-2001)

Kerberos/AFS options in ssh/sshd while disabling them in configure
Dear OpenSSH developers,
Hello, I strongly support this suggestion ie. adding the sentence "This
option has been disabled at compile time" as appropriate. It would be even
more helpful if you said how to enable it (krb) at compile time. Remember,
this is the only documentation available.
I spent some time wondering about this before searching the archives.
Ok, while we are on the

CentOS 5 Beta Dual Boot Problem
To test CentOS 5, I loaded from DVD adding it to
a system at home running Fedora Core 7 T2.
Partition Layout is:
/dev/hda1 - / for the RH7T2 system
/dev/hda2 - /home
/dev/hda3 - swap
/dev/hda4 - extended
/dev/hda5 - / for CentOS 5
The system loaded cleanly and gave me the
opportunity to tell grub about the other system.
CentOS boots fine. Grub Stage 2 will show me
both systems.

having some trouble using another user's RSA/DSA keys
Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 (potato), openssh-2.2.0p1
Configured with: --prefix=/usr/local/openssh --enable-gnome-askpass

My goal here is to, as root, forward a local privileged port over an
ssh tunnel to another host using a normal user's login, i.e.:
root:# ssh -2 -l jamesb -i ~jamesb/.ssh/id_dsa -L 26:localhost:25 remotehost

CompComm has a real name!
Our previous attempts to select a project name for CompComm have not gone
well. We tried a poll but the names in the poll were not pre-qualified to
determine if they were usable and the ?winning? name was also a strongly
disliked name. Kristian and I each proposed a plan to select a name, but that
effort got sidetracked by a massive flame war on the mailing list.

ext2fs_read_bb_inode: Invalid argument && Can't read an block bitmap
Hello,
sorry if the question was asked a couple of times before but I couldn't
find any useful hinds to this problem using google and the listman
search-engine of the archive of this list.
Somehow the ext3 filesystem on one of my machines died an after a reboot
grub wouldn't come up again.
What I did so far:
fsck -y /dev/hda4
fsck 1.35 (28-Feb-2004)
e2fsck 1.35 (28-Feb-2004)
