dsync imapc authentication mechanisms
I'm trying to use dsync to mirror mail onto a remote IMAP server. The remote server is generating an error that authentication via plain text is not permitted. Does dsync imapc support any non-clear-text authentication mechanisms? The remote server supports: AUTH=CRAM-MD5 AUTH=DIGEST-MD5 AUTH=NTLM -- Randall Gellens Opinions are personal; facts are suspect; I speak for myself

Polycom SoundPoint... Gains -Which is for speakerphone
John, By chance do you know how to set a default ringer? What I have done is the following: <DEFAULT se.rt.1.name="Default" se.rt.1.type="ring" se.rt.1.ringer="7" se.rt.1.callWait="6" se.rt.1.mod="1"/> As you can see, I want 7 to be the default ringer for line 1... For some reason, it doesn't take these changes.

Anyone worked around this already? I would think it has problems compiling the piece of test-code, but I have no

Newbie
Hello, I'm a bit new to the world of R so forgive my ignorance. I'm trying to do a zero-inflated negative binomial regression and have received an error message and i'm not sure what it means. I'm running R 2.5.1 on XP. I have just tried a really simple version of the model to see if it would run before I put all the variables in. I have attached all the variables to the

Tobit analysis
Having read previous correspondance on this topic, am I right in using a gaussian distribution for a tobit model, one article suggests a normal distribution? Also, I want to censure at the upper bound, so, using the survival5 package I use: survreg(Surv(y,y<c,type="right")~x) for a censored regression. Could anybody who's had experience of this, confirm whether I'm in the

rsync 2.5.5, HPUX, getting unexplained error at main.c(578)
I compiled rsync-2.5.5 on HPUX 11.11, using the +DA2.0W and +O3 options. invoking a simple rsync to transfer a file works (I ran a diff on the file, no changes) e.g: sdx1 214: ./rsync --rsh='/usr/bin/ssh -x' --rsync-path=/usr/local/src/rsync-2.5.5/rsync /scratch/chuck/tmp.test sdx2:/scratch/chuck However, adding the -a option yields an unexplained error: (In all of the following cases

NFS new security requirements?
Hi I've suddenly lost access to some permanent cross-server shares. I think this was following the Nov 5 new kernel, rather than the Centos version upgrade. I don't see any difference to man mount.nfs I have:- [root at hs6 ~]# mount hs8:/data /sysback/hs8-data -v mount: no type was given - I'll assume nfs because of the colon mount: trying 172.26.0.8 prog 100003 vers 3 prot tcp port

Is there anyway to fix large file support?
I got Large files working fine on Solaris, just make a 64bit binary :). Seriously, I would try making a 64bit binary for HPUX as well(something like +DA2.0W for 64bit PA_RISC). NFS lockups
I thought this had been fixed with newer kernels? We have an old Maxtor Snap Server, an 80 GB NAS unit, containing some of our archives. Both of our CentOS servers have it permanently mounted by NFS for convenient access. This weekend, I discovered remotely that, although all systems except the VRTSralus remote agents for Veritas (now Symantec) Backup Exec were working just fine, both servers

Group policy modelling wizard - can I help at all?
Hi All, I?ve just been looking at getting Group Policy working - and as has already been discussed on this list: http://marc.info/?l=samba-technical&m=126750502020784&w=2 I can confirm the same error against 4.1.2. The error message in an English version of Windows 7 is: ?The domain controller you have selected does not have the RSoP planning mode functionality available. Please

Access denied when associating a driver with a printer
Hi, I'm trying to get point & print working against a 4.0.10 Samba server (using the sernet packages if that's relevant). I have the printer itself setup and I've uploaded the driver, but associating the uploaded driver with the printer causes Windows to give an error: "Printer settings could not be saved. Access is denied". I'm seeing the same symptoms on XP and

Samba Accessed Denied Problem.
Dear Sirs, We have been using Samba loaded on several SCO Unixware 7.1.1 servers successfully with Windows NT 4 clients for a long time. We now need to set up Windows 2000 clients to connect to our servers through Samba, but we have tried for a month now and can not seem to get it to work. We have tried various versions of Samba, including the latest 2.2.2 version, and even different server

Symantec Backup Exec (formerly Veritas) agent
I'm just wondering if anyone else here is using this? The majority of jobs on our CentOS5 server "fail" by "Communications failure" right at the end, apparently on the very last file which, however, is recoverable, as is the whole archive. In more than half these failures, the Linux agent has stopped and, in about half of those, crashes leaving a backtrace. I had similar
