vif problems in snv_127
Hi ! In snv_127 I suddenly face a problem I never had before. Xvm can''t attach a vif to my primary physical nic any longer: $ pfexec xm start ulrac1 Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. error: Failed to create vnic over yukonx1 with MAC address 00:16:36:3c:bf:70 This worked fine in all previous snv_12x releases I tested, including snv_126. OPUS at Texas Instruments C6418
Dear Opus family, we have implemented the Opus codec at a Texas Instruments DSP C6418. It is working fine! Does anyone has experience with the configuration of the codec for a speed optimized implementation on that DSP? At the moment, we use the following settings: #define NONTHREADSAFE_PSEUDOSTACK 1 #define FIXED_POINT

OPUS at Texas Instruments C6418
Hi Jean-Marc, thank you for that suggestion! It seems that the file "fixed_c6x.h" is not part of the Opus sources, so the compiler cannot find it after enabling the TI_C6X_ASM config option. Maybe it was only part of an early version of the Opus sources? I looked for the file in versions V1.1, V1.1.1, V1.2alpha and V1.3 but did not found it. Do you have an idea, where I can get the

OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 + Redhat 6.2 - Problem with scp
Hi, Chances are this is me stuffing something up, but in cases its not, this is my problem. I've just installed the latest port of OpenSSH on a few Redhat 6.2 machines. That is version 2.2.0p1. Everything compiles ok, and using the supplied init and pam files I got openssh working without to much difficulty. In fact it was easier than the commerical versions. I can use ssh to login to remote

How do I compile OpenSSH so that I can use: ListenAddress 0.0.0.0 in my sshd_config file ? [Fwd: Shared Storage in xVM Opensolaris build 122]
Hi, I double checked the configuration with xm and the "w!" option seems to be configured :-( I also upgraded to build 123, but also no change in behaviour. Thus is this a RAC 11.2 problem or is there a general problem using zvols as as shared disks for xVM domains ? (device (vbd (protocol x86_64-abi) (uuid 048d282d-da4c-2e0b-b9f4-f3f4cc0811c7)

trouble logging out when using protocol version 2
Dear OpenSSH gurus, My machine is running Red Hat Linux 6.1 and has installed all of the 6.binary rpms generated from the source rpms openssh-2.2.0p1-2.src.rpm 6.and openssl-0.9.5a-3.src.rpm. When I use protocol version 2 (by specifying "Protocol 2,1" in ~/.ssh/config), I can establish connections properly, but they do not shut down properly. When I run a remote command by "ssh

openssh problem on SGI 6.5 platform
We are in the process of converting over to openssh at UNC. I've built openssh 2.20p1 for all supported platforms at UNC: AIX 4.3 AIX 4.2 Linux 2.2 Solaris 2.7 Solaris 2.6 SGI 6.5 We been running for about a month now and have only one reported problem--which came up today: When running ssh on a machine running SGI 6.5 you get the following error: %ssh overlord rsa_public_encrypt()

Socket options not properly set for ssh and sshd.
I'm sending this only to openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org (since I'm using the ported version of OpenSSH) and not to openssh at openssh.com, even though I believe this to be a general problem. Please advise if you think I should redirect this to the other mailing list. Version: OpenSSH_2.2.0p1 Keywords: setsockopt keepalive hang masquerade Symptom: For protocol 2, socket options

SSH not responding.
SSH doesn't seem to be responding to me. The machine I am connecting to is running Linux, and I could connect to it fine from windows running the SSH client. But now I can no longer connect. RhostsAuthentication + nondefault port doesn't work?
Hello all, It seems that RhostsAuthentication does not work on non-default port no matter what when connecting from OpenSSH (2.1.1, 2.2.0 tried) either with protocol 1 or protocol 2 (shouldn't work either..). _However_ when connecting with SSH.COM Ltd's ssh, RhostsAuthentication works just fine! Checking the port number of ssh client you can see that OpenSSH doesn't assign

Kerberos/AFS options in ssh/sshd while disabling them in configure
Dear OpenSSH developers, Hello, I strongly support this suggestion ie. adding the sentence "This option has been disabled at compile time" as appropriate. It would be even more helpful if you said how to enable it (krb) at compile time. Remember, this is the only documentation available. I spent some time wondering about this before searching the archives. Ok, while we are on the

Probably broken getaddrinfo() on Solaris x86.
Hi, I discovered a strange problem with the latest version (2.9.9p2) and previous versions of OpenSSH when using portforwarding und Solaris 8 x86. It seems like the getaddrinfo() function on Solaris 8 x86 is somehow broken, instead of binding a port to 127.0.0.1, OpenSSH tried to bind it to 1.0.0.127 (1.0.0.127 was the ai->ai_addr returned by getaddrinfo() in channel.c). I could not

Hi Robert, There's also a TI_C6X_ASM config option, that causes the fixed_c6x.h header to be used, but I think it hasn't been tested in years. I don't know if it still works, but if not it's probably not too hard to fix (patch welcome). The fixed_c6x.h file can also probably be extended to cover more of the C6x arithmetic operators. Beyond that, you'd have to go to
