openssh-2.9.9p2 session.c fails on Solaris 7,8 w/ SunPro C
FYI--
session.c fails from openSSH 2.9.9p2 with SunPro C compiler on Solaris 7,
8. The function do_pre_login had to be moved to before its use in
do_exec_pty (a predeclaration would work).
It does appear to work correctly, given the above fix. Still having the
largefile problem (argh), so if anyone can help with /that/ ...

To Whomever can assist,
I am looking for anyone who has gotten OpenSsh 3.7.1p2 to build under

It errors out on the build process with a:

[PATCH] 64 bit clean compilation patches
Hello All,
Attached is a patch against the portable openssh sources found at
openssh at anoncvs.at.openbsd.org:/cvs. The majority of the size of the
patch comes from changes to the build system to supply the required
format specifications if they are not provided by the OS. These patches
remove the following warnings found during a 64-bit compile:

[PATCH] openssh - loginrec.c - Non-atomic file operations.
Hi all.
I rewrited lastlog_openseek function. Now is little more atomic when
file operations on lastlog file happens.
For more details why separate stat and open isn't so safe please take a
look at: http://www.akkadia.org/drepper/defprogramming.pdf
Have nice day

Fixed:
-- On systems such as SunOS4 where the system include files
are no help in locating the utmp file (et al.), configure
can define their location in CONF_*, but defines.h never used
these.
-- Might as well put in the usual location for SunOS4.
-- In loginrec.c (utmp_write_direct), writing to the utmp file
was not done correctly.

login_get_lastlog - nss enviornment - works in shell env, doesn't work when sshd calls it.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello to every one!
Maybe this is not exactly the right place,
but I don't know where to ask, so...
I have a FreeBSD-6-STABLE machine,
setuped with custom nss lib which reads from pgsql database.
It seems to be working just fine except
that I can't login trought ssh, when trying the normal method.
When I do
$>ssh host.com tcsh

I think I just fixed that by changing the function to match the new
prototype. Unfortunately I can't currently test it myself. Please

X11 forwarding problem -- openssh-3.5p1 -- redhat 8.0 -- linux 2.4.18
All,
I'm working on upgrading a machine from RH 6.2 to RH 8.0. I've
encountered one major (for me) snag in that I cannot get X11 forwarding to
work anymore.
I've been google-ing the error messages all morning, with no luck.
Here is debugging output from the server (client debugging output sent
upon request... I don't feel it is relevant). What I feel is interesting

AIX and 2.1.1p1
The new login code works fine with AIX 4.3. Two nits, though. If
--disable-lastlog is defined, the code still tries to slog through wtmp
to determine the last login time. Is this a bug or a feature? If a
feature, change the DISABLE_LASTLOG test below to WITH_AIXAUTHENTICATE.
Also, a small typo in configure.in, plus an AIX tweak.
