HMAC-MD5 / HMAC-MD5-context
$ dovecotpw -p testpass {HMAC-MD5}fe8522268d91e485ccac8f36800e4fa6b10363e2a371cfa61731109b450906cd I wonder if the prefix 'HMAC-MD5' is the correct notation here. According to RFC2104 an HMAC is calculated as follows: H(K XOR opad, H(K XOR ipad, text)) where H is the cryptographic hash function (MD5 in this case). Therefore the result has to be a 128 bit string, which is obviously not

R script help needed for RFC 2104 HMAC algorithm
I'm trying to create an R script that will execute the HMAC algorithm for key-hashing messages. My hope is to use this script for some web authentication via R. The algorithm is found at http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2104.txt Here is some example code that I have done that does not work for HMAC-MD5. I'm a big confused by the algorithm since I don't have a very good working knowledge

Installing support for q35 chipset
Hello I have recently had to reinstall Centos 7.5 to on host computer. I have not be able to set-up qemu to support the q35 chip set. I have several virtual machines that require q35. This is not my first install, I have configured libvirt on many machines in the past, it just worked, it has not required any manual configuration. TCP/UDP broken checksums redux (with UDP workaround)
Hello, A little informal input on the TCP/UDP checksum deferral/offload: it fails for me. I have one Xen host, running a snapshot of xen-unstable at 2006-03-24 (9435:11fee62328cc). Each of its domUs are allocated their own /30, with the help of a hacked-up vif script. Prior to working around the problem, Domain-0 could establish TCP connections to other domains. In the case of SSH, it would

DH group selection for SHA2-512 bit HMAC.
Hi. I've got the following problem with our SSH client library: - client connects to OpenSSH 5.9+ server and they choose hmac-sha2-512 with diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256. - client sends MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_REQUEST DH group request with parameters (1024, 1024, 8192). I.e. minimum and preferred group size is 1024-bit, - OpenSSH server in kexgexs.c:kexgex_server processes this message and
