Hi, My name is Stefan Mangard and I plan to implement an extension to ssh as a final project in a cryptography class. Since I want to use an open source of ssh, I decided to use the openssh implementation. I am currently working with openssh-1.2.3, but I'd also like to implement my extension for protocol 2, I wanted to ask you how far the development of the implementation of openssh-2 is.

I upgraded a compiled version of ssh-1.2.27 to a swinstalled depot of OpenSSH_2.5.1p1 on HPUX-11.00. I created links in /usr/local/bin/<ssh program> pointing to /opt/openssh2/bin/<ssh program>. Ssh works. Scp does not. HP support does not support ssh. Below the line you will find the output of a verbose scp command from the server to it self.

I gueess it is not a DNS problem, because either using name or IP, I have always the problem. I guess the problem is that I am using ssh on inetd.conf (sshd -i), so It has to generate a key each time I start a session. I'm trying to install openssh-1.2.2 on a Solaris 7 box. I've downloaded the file openssh-1.2.2.tar.gz from ftp://thermo.stat.ncsu.edu/pub/openssh/files/ and http://the.wiretapped.net/security/cryptography/ssh/OpenSSH/files/. neither of theses tar's include the configure program as referenced in the INSTALL file. Hello - I am trying to use scp (openssh_3.0), but every time I run it, I get the following error: stty: Not a typewriter When I run it with -v , it shows that authentication (pub key) succeeds, but it fails to read the file.
