No subject
Hi!
I?m not a subscriber of the mailing list since I?m usually not too deep
involved into cryptography and hacking. I found an annoying bug (or at
least I consider it to be one) in the configure script of openssh.
I tried to compile openssh-1.2.2p1 in conjunction with openssl-0.9.5. I
downloaded both from mirror sites, so there might already exist a solution
for this.

A few more Solaris 7 bugs in 1.2.3pre2
These are all in the port of 1.2.3pre2:
- configure accepts --includedir, but doesn't seem to pass it on to the
Makefile. You have to edit the Makefile manually if you have include files
anywhere but /usr/include. Which is a problem because...
- The Makefile doesn't include /usr/local/include by default, which is where
zlib installs itself by default. Probably oughta be in there.

Bug when selecting text in Qt3 QLineEdit
Hi,
The minimalistic example application at
http://xile.org/le/LineEditBug.zip demonstrates a WINE bug when using
a QLineEdit widget from Qt 3:
* Enter some text in the line edit.
* Select some text using the mouse.
* Click into the line edit
Native Windows:
-> The selected text simply gets unselected.
Using WINE:
-> The selected text gets deleted.

(Repost to list) Copying large files xp pro -> Samba very slow

Samba-Clearcase: users are seen as nobody user
Hi
Can somebody help me concerning this problm with samba.
I am using samba 2.0.7 to link clearcase DB files on server UNIX with NT
clearcase clients.
We have upgraded clients from winNT4.0 to win2000 .
Now we have many trouble like :
PC stuck
performance very slow
file not found ( it exists!)
etc...
I saw in the samba log file of users the message as follow:

Winbind problm
HI,
I met problm with windbind.
Everything seems to work fine samba 3.0.7 - ldap - ssl
But in can not change user password account from windows workstation.
I investigate and find

geo-replication status faulty
Venky Shankar, can you follow up on these questions? I too have this issue and cannot resolve the reference to '/nonexistent/gsyncd'.
As Steve mentions, the nonexistent reference in the logs looks like the culprit especially seeing that the ssh command trying to be run is printed on an earlier line with the incorrect remote path.

PHP-AGI help

Attacks on ssh port
Hi,
Is there a security problem with ssh that I've missed???
Ik keep getting these hords of:
Failed password for root from 69.242.5.195 port 39239 ssh2
with all kinds of different source addresses.
They have a shot or 15 and then they are of again, but a little later on
they're back and keep clogging my logs.
Is there a "easy" way of getting these ip-numbers added to

geo-replication command rsync returned with 3
It is clear that rsync is failing. Are the rsync versions on all masters
and slave nodes same?
I have seen that has caused problems sometimes.

Problem wiht built in JS libary
Hi, I am trying to add a page effect using the built in javascripts. The
effect im trying to create is when a user clicks a link the current page
content slides up, then the new content slides down. This all works
great in firefox, but in IE between the slide up and slide down, you see
a quick flash of the content, and it really spoils the whole effect.
