X11 forwarding between from Mandrake(sshd) to Caldera(ssh) doesn't work!
I am having great difficulty getting X11 forwarding to work between
my openssh server (Linux Mandrake 6.1) and my openssh client (Caldera
OpenLinux 2.x).
I get "X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication." on
the Caldera box when I ssh into the Mandrake box and try to run any X
app.
If I make the Caldera box the server all is fine and works perfectly.

LDA sieve plugin [patch]
Hi all.
I spent some time testing Dovecot's LDA sieve plugin and found problem
with "notify" method.
In fact it always returns "generic sieve error"... and thus produces
bounce messages like this:

Your message was automatically rejected by Dovecot Mail Delivery Agent.
The following reason was given:

Permission problem in message command with guest ftp user
I haven't seen this posted so I will add one more reason why the message
command may not work: Permissions.
I have this in my [global]:
message command = /bin/bash -c 'cat %s | mutt -s You_logged_on jlh;rm %s' &
This never would work and I never could figure out why.
Turns out that I have guest user ftp, who for security reasons doesn't have

What does "echo $DISPLAY give? Is the display listed in "xauth list"? What
happens when you try to run an xterm?
You can try deleting your .Xauthority file (it'll be re-created automatically)

OpenSSH 3.9p1 X11 forwarding
Hi,
We upgraded from 3.7.1p2 to 3.9p1. The behaviour of the X11 forwarding
changed significantly, it is much slower. See below the truss output
(server side which runs 3.7.1p2) an check for the timestamp (6 seconds
delay). Do you have any idea what may causes this behaviour? Platform is
Solaris 5.9 Generic_117171-05.
Thanks in advance,

X11 Forwarding troubles with OpenSSH client and OpenVMS host
Hello,
I searched through the mailing list archives here, at
securityfocus.com, at HP and google and have come up dry. Sorry in
advance if my search was not complete enough or I missed something but
I sure as heck didn't see anything.

5.5 & gspca
Irritating quirkyness: we have a bunch of videocams. To use, we use gspca.
Usually, on an upgrade, I just go into the gspca directory (which appears,
from their website, to have not been updated since '07), make clean, make,
make install.
Having gone up to 5.5, did the same. What's happening now is that it
works, delivers the mpgs... but dumps errors in the logs:

[PATCH v5 3/6] libnvdimm: add dax_dev sync flag
This patch adds 'DAXDEV_SYNC' flag which is set
for nd_region doing synchronous flush. This later
is used to disable MAP_SYNC functionality for

synchronous flush.
