The main target of the patches are NetBSD compatability, although there are some changes making if (pointer X) into if (X != NULL) as well. I cannot make openssh on Solaris. The 'make' fails on the first file. Here are the commands and the output. Essentially, I pre-built EGD, SSL, and ran: configure make make errors are listed at the bottom. Can anyone help me get this compiled on Solaris7? Hi, I am trying to complete the hardware multiplier option for MSP430 backend. As the hardware multiplier in most of the MSP430 devices is for i8 and i16 operands, with i16 and i32 result, I am lowering MUL_i8 and MUL_I16. However, the front-end promotes the i8 argument to i32, executes 32-bit multiplier and truncates to 16-bit, so I never lower MUL_I8 nor MUL_I16 but MUL_I32, wchich is lowered

Details of installation attached. Effect: when I build and test (with full path names) ssh in the openssh... directory, everything works fine. When I "install" it as per attached file into a test-directory and run it from there, there are 2 phenomena: either it just hangs, eating 96% of CPU or it dies with a Segmentation fault (this is what happens most often) Help needed
