Re: Use NTFS Partition. -- only applies to same disk ...
From: Mark Jarvis <mark.jarvis at pvmail.maricopa.edu> > HUH? FAT32 problem??? No, it's a geometry issue on legacy BIOS/DOS Disk Labels (Partition Table Format) aka "Basic Disc" in NT5+ (2000+) when both NT and Linux share the disk for booting. Microsoft never standardized how geometry should be handled after NT4.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4) other than using legacy LBA32 --

Looking for input on which way to go with smallbusiness setup
If you use a Sangoma T1 card, (A10x) card you can send both voice and data down the same T1 and have the Sangoma card split it for you. If you are talking about non-hobby usage, stay away from FXO adapters and go with a T1.. You'll be much happier in the long run. For a fractional T1, don't worry about hardware echo, asterisk will handle the echo fine. I would seriously consider shelling

Asterisk@Home 1.1b1 has been released
We have replaced the simple contact management system in Asterisk@Home with SugarCRM a full CRM system. This might seem like over kill for a home PBX but Sugar has the best contact management we have seen. With click to dial functionality and the ability to import data from other contact managers it’s a great fit for Asterisk@Home. We have also added new version of the usual Asterisk software AMP

From: Feizhou > Yes, I was wondering whether you were trying to say that Samba > could do the extra cruff MS threw into their > Kerberos/LDAP/DNS thingamich. ? Microsoft uses SRV records in DNS. That was actually a _good_ move. Now their DNS-integrated ADS is another story. Although I do have to say the current, split dhcpd, named, nmbd strategy in the open source world is rather

C cedilla problem
Hi, I'm having a problem with Samba (which is strange because I don't usually have any problems with Samba). I have the following directories on a Windows NT 4.0 server, as I see them from my SuSE Linux 6.3 box with Samba 2.0.7 (self-compiled). Both the Linux and Windows box are the English versions, however we're using Portuguese language filenames. .

Office 97
I recently upgraded my debian sid install to the latest version of wine- 20050310. Unfortunately it broke Office 97. When I try to select a file in the file open or save dialogs, there is a Paragraph character in the box already. This makes it impossible to open a new file. Suggestions? Thanks, Aaron __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Small Business - Try our new

BDC problem!? user can't get profile/map drive
Hello: I have set up a PDC using Samba 3.0.11 with openldap 2.2.23. I have set up a BDC as well (the smb.conf is same as those on PDC except the nebios name as "BDC" and the domain master is set as "no"). Then I try to shut down my PDC to check whether the client login through the BDC. I found that my client (on Window NT) are able to authenticated by BDC, but it keeps

Can it be done on the server side or just on the client? ie. all other incoming calls will just be dropped while the extension is busy.
