mediawiki-1.4.7-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm requirements.
Guys, I'm migrating an internal Mediawiki over to a new CentOS 4 system. The old server's running FC3 and has a tarball install, ideally I want to stick to properly packaged software as far as possible. rpm build difference?
I noticed a strange thing on my CentOS 4 workstations today. Immediately after installing the tetex suite (tetex-xdvi tetex-dvips tetex tetex-latex tetex-afm tetex-fonts), "rpm -V tetex" reports some package inconsistencies: rpm -V tetex ........C /usr/bin/amstex ........C /usr/bin/bamstex ........C /usr/bin/bplain ........C /usr/bin/lambda ........C

rpm question
Hi everyone, I am writing a small tool that will compare a file on my machine with the the same file on an rpm repository and then give me a diff. E.g. # rpm-file-diff /etc/samba/smb.conf will show a diff output so that I can see at a glance what changes I have made to my local smb.conf file. I already know about rpmdiff but that compares whole packages and not files. Anyway while fiddling

But I want rpm to *replace* tetex by texlive, instead of just adding texlive, when users do a : $ yum install texlive (we have a local repo here). So I added this line in texlive.spec : Obsoletes: tetex and of

2.3 issues on Mac (PR#8915)
/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/etc/ppc/Renviron and /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/etc/i386/Renviron both use /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current for LaTeX related variables. Could this be updated for i386 to take into account the teTeX intel binaries? Also, Makeconf is not setup to create universal binary libraries. Will this be done

website spec updated
I've installed new complete-page versions of the vorbis spec on the website: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/ the per-section html versions have not yet been updated. I also updated docbook, xsltproc, and tetex on motherfish, and installed a catalog file in /etc/xml/catalog since the docbook stuff is a little hard to get going. The docs should build out of the box there now
