[Bug 1263] connection sharing often freezes
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1263
--- Comment #18 from Vincent Lefevre <vincent at vinc17.org> 2007-08-17 12:02:42 ---
I don't know if this is related, but I've just had a frozen connection
under Linux (Debian/unstable, openssh-client 1:4.6p1-5): after 6
minutes, I had to do a Ctrl-C. I retried just after the Ctrl-C, and the
command completed almost immediately.

------- Comment #11 from djm at mindrot.org 2007-01-22 12:48 -------
When do the connections freeze? Is it at random, after a period of
inactivity, during large transfers, etc.?

YUM and RPM often freezes my computer
Sometimes when I attempt a YUM install, it will get to the point where
it is looking for packages to install, and my hard drive will make a lot
of noise, but there is no progress. My mouse cursor freezes, and I can
not switch between programs or kill the process. Eventually I have to
reset the computer in order to get control back.
The same thing will also happen when I install an RPM. When

Drop1 and weights
Hi,
If I used drop1 in a weighted lm fit, it seems to ignore the weights
in the AIC calculation of the dropped terms, see the example below.
Can this be right?

Dear Debian-Bugteam
Unfortunately this problem still exists. I want to use the server in production environment, but can't by reason of this error.
Installed XEN-Versions:

LOOPS - GIS
Dear R-user community,
I need to solve a problem related to river management. The task is to
calculate the distance from specified points in a river to the outlet of the
river. The river is defined by a database (here called "M"):

Help asked for automated generation of ncdf variables
Hi,
I'm using the "ncdf" library for creating ncdf files.
But I need to create about 100 variables per file (e.g. single rivers),
So I do not like to create each variable separately.
Unfortunately I found no way to make this work, as I'm unable to create a
correct list of class "var.ncdf".

Dear XEN-Team
I've set up a complete new VM, tested copying and backuping with following error again:

Fixing a rejected peer
Please run 'gluster v get all cluster.max-op-version' and what ever value
it throws up should be used to bump up the cluster.op-version (gluster v
set all cluster.op-version <value>) . With that if you restart the rejected
peer I believe the problem should go away, if it doesn't I'd need to
investigate further once you can pass down the glusterd and cmd_history log
files and

ggplot faceting like lattice | variable
I would like to be able to do the xyplot in ggplot below. I read in
the archive that Hadley was working on this for the next release, and
I can not find the documentation (Aug. 23rd).

Retraction: security hole in sudo allows users full access
I did not understand the man pages for sudo and incorrectly interpreted
the results. I interpreted the ALL to apply to all commands
defined in the sudoers file. Basically, I'm an idiot, but here is the
chain I followed, and the correct interpretation.
In the man pages on sudo, it says the following:

Optimization in R similar to MS Excel Solver
Dear Colleagues,
I am attempting to develop an optimization routine for a river suspended
sediment mixing model. I have Calcium and Magnesium concentrations (%) for
sediments from 4 potential source areas (Topsoil, Channel Banks, Roads,
Drains) and I want to work out, based on the suspended sediment calcium and
magnesium concentrations, what are the optimal contributions from each
source area to

processing data of hierarchical river network
Hi,
I have some hydrochemical data from observation stations of a river
network. The data set provides information about the river hierarchy, i.e.
the order of the rivers (main river is 1st order, contributing is 2nd
order, and contributing to 2nd is 3rd order... etc).
Now I would like to use the hierarchical information to:
a) plot a dendrogram of the observation stations
b) perform some simple

Upgrading from Gluster 3.8 to 3.12
Looks like a bug as I see tier-enabled = 0 is an additional entry in the
info file in shchhv01. As per the code, this field should be written into
the glusterd store if the op-version is >= 30706 . What I am guessing is
since we didn't have the commit 33f8703a1 "glusterd: regenerate volfiles on
op-version bump up" in 3.8.4 while bumping up the op-version the info and
volfiles were
