folding Apple tweaks into openssh
Hi. Apple have a bunch of patches to openssh that they have folded into the version that's shipped with MacOSX. Some of these are very convenient: like automagically starting an ssh-agent at login/boot time and the ability to have SSH passphrases stored and fetched from the Keychain. It would be nice if these could be considered for rolling in to a future release of openssh. FWIW

Redirected Folders not working for Desktop
Well, I've just added another directory to not make the redirected folders a the root. And, Favorites and Documents do work. Goog suggestion to check the Windows event viewer. I'll do that and get back with what I find. Thanks, --Mark -----Original Message----- > To: samba at lists.samba.org > From: James <lingpanda101 at gmail.com> > Date: Tue, 1 Sep 2015 08:14:06 -0400

how to call an executable script each time a file is created or modified
is it possible to have a samba daemon call an executable script each time a file within one of it shares is modified or a new file is created? I'm looking to develop a file catalogging system for my file server which depends on my software being notified each time a file is modified or a new file created. This allows the modified/new file to be scanned for relavent information. :)

PTY allocation without being root
Hello everyone, Some of you might already know what I've been doing lately, but I'd better introduce myself properly: since February this year I've been working on redesigning the TTY layer for the FreeBSD operating system. I hope to get my work integrated next month (the 10th of August). The new TTY layer will have some minor improvements with respect to performance, but one of the
