Poisson mixed effects model
Hello,
I am fitting a Poisson mixed effects model. I have the number of eggs
(Eggs) laid by a quail and looking at the effect of dosage of a chemical
(Dose) in the study. I have counts of eggs laid by week of the study,
so I am including the week number (Week) as a random effect. I'm using
the lme4 package.
I have,

Graph question
If I have a set of data comprising a list of numbers of eggs on mosquito guts that range from 1 to 157. How can I get R to draw a barchart of the distribution of the data (i.e. x axis= number of eggs on a gut, y axis=number of mosquitoes found with that number of eggs)? Data is listed below.
Thanks,
Georgina
Number of eggs on each mosquito gut:

Matrix looping
Hi all,
I am having a problem getting my fucntion to work correctly.
Here is my problem.
I have three ages: Nage<-c(1,2,3)
I have an weight matrix: Wt<-c( 0.04952867, 0.23808432, 0.34263880)
I have an age schedule of maturity: Mat<-c(0,1,1) where 0 is not mature,
and 1 is mature
I have a vulnerability schedule: Vul<-c(0,1,1)
I have an survivorship schedule:

"tck" parameter
I have been making some changes to the axis drawing code which will
allow users to use par(tck=...) to produce grid lines and tick marks
which go into a plot rather than pointing outwards.
I don't particularly like the strategy that S uses for determining
tick mark size so I have introduces an alternative mechanism as well.
There is now a new "par" parameter called "tcl"

I'm curious to know which optimizations you have in mind.
