Hi I hope this is the right list for the question. I want to install R from source under SUSE 10. When executing ./Configure, I get the following error message: checking for xmkmf... /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf configure: WARNING: I could not determine FPICFLAGS. configure: error: See the file INSTALL for more information. and it taborts.
