Another request for gss-keyex inclusion
I would like to request additional consideration for inclusion of the
gss-keyex patch (https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1242)
into mainline OpenSSH. I know this comes up every few months, and I
know that the current answer is "no" (as stated in November 2007), so
I'll get straight to the new information and possibly-new arguments.

Orphaned rsync process on remote machine?
All,
Sometimes when I do an rsync, it times out and leaves on orphaned
process on the remote machine. I am running rsync over ssh using
public key authentication. I synchronize about twenty-five machines,
and this problem only appears on one of them. It worked until
recently on this machine. I don't know what changed or what is
different.
I run rsync with a command line like this

CentOS Community Posters and RH summit
The CentOS Project is going to be in the community space at Red Hat
Summit this year. Summit's community theme is centered around NASA's JPL
poster designs (http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/visions-of-the-future/ ) , and
we'd like to make sure that our booth is appropriately dressed, and that
our community is appropriately represented.

Error Messages after Committed Config Changes
Hi,
My Samba server (Solaris 7, 64-bit mode) with AFS option has been
running for a year. I just changed the "Max Log Size" global parameter few
times today. Each time I committed the change, I got the following same
set of error messages in my Samba log (the log.smb file):

HP-UX 10.20 assistance
To Whomever can assist,
I am looking for anyone who has gotten OpenSsh 3.7.1p2 to build under
HP-UX 10.20. I am working with the latest gcc (v. 3.3.1), gmake (v. 3.80),
and Openssl (0.9.7c) and I still can not get OpenSsh to build properly.
It errors out on the build process with a:

openssh & kerberos & gssapi
I have configured openssh --with-kerberos5=<path> --with-pam
--with-tcp-wrapper=<path>, but when I expire my kerberos password, I do
not get a challenge to change my password for kerberos... anyone have
any thoughts.
I tried modifying the Make file to include -DGSSAPI
-DHAVE_GSSAPI_GSSAPI_H -DHAVE_GSSAPI_GSSAPI_GENERIC_H because I noticed
that the gssapi options for both

Some X11 programs don't work on connection from SSH Secure Shell
Well this is weird... when I connect via SSH Secure Shell PC client 3.0.0,
the server hangs and the client sees a disconnect as soon as the user
activates certain X programs. But not all of them! For instance, xeyes
and xlogo are fine... but emacs and xterm are not.
This is 3.0.2p1 on Solaris 2.5.1.
When the client runs xterm the output of sshd -d -d -d is:
debug1: X11 connection

Re: Samba Temporary Profiles?
That's right.
I get the same behavior here, if i change that option.
I get a local temporary profile instead of a serverside temporary profile.
That's not much better.

3.0.2 AFS login problem, Solaris 2.5.1
I've been beating myself senseless trying to build OpenSsh 3.0.1 on Solaris
2.5.1 and get AFS login working.
The symptoms of the problem are: sshd builds (used --with-afs and
-with-kerberos4 - there is no PAM on this box), accepts connections from
non-AFS users, but does not accept a connection from an AFS user; the user
sees "permission denied" after entering the password.

ssh1 keyexchange problem ?
Hi,
Has anybody produced diffs for openssh-2.3.0p1 for the rsa keyexchange
problem that Core-SDI described ? ( I noticed that fix is already
in openbsd tree ).

New package stepR: fitting step-functions
Dear R users,
It is my pleasure to announce the availability of package stepR (1.0-2)
on CRAN.
The main purpose of the package is to fit piecewise constant functions
(a.k.a. step-functions or block signals) to serial data in a fully
data-driven manner under certain (Gaussian or non-Gaussian)
distributional assumptions.
It mainly implements the algorithms described in the references below -
