Typo in configure.in
Hello! In configure.in from openssh-2.2.0p1 you are using $xno and $xyes several times. However, those variables are not defined. I guess you mean literals "xno" and "xyes" in all those cases. If that's correct please apply the patch at the end of this message. Regards, Pavel Roskin _____________________ --- configure.in Wed Aug 30 18:20:05 2000 +++ configure.in Wed Oct

Allow --without-privsep build.
I've been trying to cut down the size of openssh so I can run it on my Nokia 770. One thing which helps a fair amount (and will help even more when I get '-ffunction-sections -fdata-sections --gc-sections' working) is to have the option of compiling out privilege separation... Is it worth me tidying this up and trying to make it apply properly to the OpenBSD version? Does the openbsd

Kerberos4 / AFS library issues
Could people who have been having issues with Portable OpenSSH and Kerberos 4 please try the following patch. You will need to run "autoreconf" (i.e you will need autoconf installed) and then run ./configure again. configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. This patch works on Solaris

modifying Openssh config script for KTH-KRB (fwd)
Dear OpenSSH developers, Hi, taking the liberty of sending this to your mailing list in the hope someone will be able to help. The KTH version of Kerberos 4 was the only one I was able to find. In case you don't want to look at all the stuff below, the situation is briefly that I am trying to compile openssh with kerberos 4 support, which it apparently has. However, it can't find krb.h,

[PATCH] Use krb5-config if avaialable for Kerberos parameters
Hi. I've had this patch a while (and I posted an earlier version a while back): it tries to use krb5-config to obtain the Kerberos build options. If it's not available, or isn't in the path specified to --with-kerberos5 then the existing behaviour is kept. It seems to work for me with MIT and Heimdal. I got some feedback from one person, would any of the Kerberos-using folk care to

Patch to change installation of ssh_config and sshd_config
The NetBSD packages system "forbids" packages from installing stuff outside of the package tree (typically "/usr/pkg"). OpenSSH installs ssh*_config into $sysconfdir by default, which violates that rule. Christos Zoulas reworked Makefile.in to seperate the install from sysconfdir, and I added some logic to configure.in to add --with-example-dir. NetBSD's package would

2.9p1 patches
1. Add support for files >2GB via Paul Eggert's AC_SYS_LARGEFILE macro. This macro is now part of autoconf 2.50. Because of this, "config.h" needs to be included before system headers to get the appropriate defines for LFS support. openbsd-compat/sigact.c configure.in acinclude.m4 2. AIX defines TILDE in <sys/ioctl.h>. Rename to TILDE_CHAR. Feel

OPIE support patch
I just cobbled up a little patch to add support for OPIE to OpenSSH. Currently untested, but feedback is welcome. patch for openssh-1.2.2p1
Hi, openssh-1.2.2p1 seems to have 2 problems on ipv6 (and ipv4 mapped addresses). 1. "BREAKIN ATTEMPT" warnings from ipv4 node 2. X forwarding The following patche fixes them. New feature: remote entropy gatherer port
[NOTE: I'm new to this list and this is my first approach to OpenSSH code.] I've enhanced "--with-prngd-port=PORT" flag to accept an optional hostname as in "myhost:myport", e.g.: % ./configure --with-prngd-port=example.com:12345 Although I'm certain that this may cause big trouble if remote gatherer isn't online (ssh will refuse to open any connection) I

(4.2p1) Missing -R<path_to_libedit>/lib
Hi, I tried building the version 4.2p1 on the FreeBSD box. Even if I executed the configure script with --with-rpath and --with-libedit=/path/to/libedit the -R options for libedit are NOT added in linking although that for zlib and OpenSSL are correctly done. This problem can be easily avoided by editing openssh-4.2p1/Makefile after executing the configure script. This means that you

[PATCH] Add support for ldns
Hi, as discussed before, we're trying to make use of SSHFP records (RFC 4255) to publish host key fingerprints in the DNS. However, some non-OpenBSD platforms don't support DNSSEC in the native resolver (e.g. glibc), which renders the whole thing quite useless, since openssh correctly requires the RRs to be signed and validated. The following patch adds support for ldns, an external

Fix for configure.in
Hello! The top-level configure.in in the CVS version of Samba uses "echo" instead of the standard AC_MSG_* macros provided by Autoconf. I could not find any reasons for not using AC_MSG_*. "cvs log configure.in" doesn't list any reasons. "cvs annotate configure.in" doesn't work for read-only CVS because the CVS server for Samba is too old! The attached

rgl: bogus configure[.ac] (PR#14183)
Full_Name: Jens Elkner Version: 2.10.1 OS: Solaris Submission from: (NULL) (141.44.24.14) The configure.ac is bogus, since it does not include additional library pathes at the right place and thus fails. E.g.: $R_HOME/bin/R CMD INSTALL -l $PROTO/R/library \ --configure-args='--with-gl-includes=/usr/X11/include/NVIDIA --with-gl-libs=/usr/X11/lib/NVIDIA/amd64' $TMPBUILD And thus
