[Bug 1129] sshd hangs for command-only invocations due to fork/child signals
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1129 ------- Comment #4 from djm at mindrot.org 2006-02-12 12:41 ------- Created an attachment (id=1065) --> (http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/attachment.cgi?id=1065&action=view) Move debug from signal handler I think we should just remove the debug from it signal handler. It is not safe on platforms that don't implement syslog_r properly.

Problem with multiple ldap passdb
Hi mailing list, I'm currently running dovecot 2.2.13 from Debian Jessie, all is running fine. However I am attempting to merge 2 LDAP authentication sources. I would like to attempt to authenticate against the first authentication source, if that fails either by password fail or user not found, then attempt the next LDAP server. I've added the a passdb and userdb entry for the new

Over 400 smbd pid's?
Over the past 2 days, my smbd processes are multiplying worse than rabbits. At least with rabbits it's easy to tell why you wind up with so many... Here's the setup: Samba version 3.2.8-0.24 installed via rpm on a FC6 box with 2 nics, both on the same subnet. The samba server acts as a PDC in a mixed environment but mostly windows pc's running xp. It is used mostly for file

Patch for changing expired passwords
The primary purpose of the attached patches is for portable OpenSSH to support changing expired passwords as specified in shadow password files. To support that, I did a couple enhancements to the base OpenBSD OpenSSH code. They are: 1. Consolidated the handling of "forced_command" into a do_exec() function in session.c. These were being handled inconsistently and allocated

[OT] Yoda Communications' VG-400 (4 Port FXO and 2 Port FXO/2 Port FXS)
With the lack of info on Yoda Communications in Taiwan and their hardware, I thought I'd post my experience. I got my hands on a few H.323 VG-400's and VG-100TA's. http://www.yoda.com.tw/model.php?type=VoIP_Solution&pname=VG400 2 of the VG-400's were 2FXO/2FXS models. A couple were deployed to SE Asia, where we planned to offer our services. Originally, I ran a GnuGK server

[LLVMdev] optimizing references within a struct
There is an optimization which the Greenhills compiler does for mips16. I have not looked at it myself ,but it was recounted to me. The basic idea is that if you have a large struct, rather than reference each element from the base of the struct, it's possible to chose some optimal point(s) that are not at the beginning of the struct and use as the base to reference elements of the

MixMonitor with non-20ms packets
Hi, MixMonitor saves partial conversation when non-standard voice packet size is set (Asterisk 1.4.18.1). For example, if SIP-peer has alaw:30 then saved file would contain only 67% of total conversation. With alaw:20 MixMonitor saves 100% of conversation. It seems that MixMonitor has hardcoded "packets per second" or "samples per packet" values. I did a lot of googling, but

Advice on: sshd[28182]: PAM pam_set_item: NULL pam handle passed
Hi, Ive got winbind and samba working great (version 2.2.3) on our RH 7.1 box's. But as we have about 200 users on our domain, we want to restrict ssh access on our linux box's. So I created a group on the NT PDC called: Winbind In this group, Ive only put our developers and us, the sy admins. In the /etc/ssh/sshd_config, I entered the line: AllowGroups MMEBS+Winbind. Thus, allowing

Filesystem panic
Hi, I'm running RH9, 2.4.20-18.9. Each night, the server mounts an external FAT32 disk using firewire, and performs backups to it using rsync. Twice within the past 3 months, the backup process has resulted in machine crash (complete hang, hardware reboot needed). From /var/log/messages: Oct 22 04:02:20 yoda kernel: Filesystem panic (dev 08:21). Oct 22 04:02:20 yoda kernel: fat_free:

HOW-TO on Samba4 Installation with dnsmasq
Dear all, I'm currently trying out Samba4.0.0-alpha10. Because I'm unfamiliar with the Berkeley Internet Name Demon (bind), I've so far been using dnsmasq on my home network. I just want to inform eveybody who cares that it's possible to set up Samba4 and dnsmasq so as to allow domain logons from a Windows 7 workstation. Generally, I followed the how-to on the samba-wiki

Getting Yoda unit to register all four ports
I have a sample of the Yoda VG400 and I am having a devil of a time trying to get all four channels to register to Asterisk. I have an Asterisk 1.2.1 server. I have tried adding one at a time and rebooting it, but it stops after the first. http://www.yoda.com.tw/model.php?type=Enterprise_VoIP&pname=VG400 Anyone had success with this? -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264)

Cyrus Virtual Domains: Domain migration from Cyrus
hi, we want to migrate from Cyrus 2.x to Dovecot 1.x (!). We use the virtual domain feature from Cyrus for a better disk partitioning: /var/imap/domain.a/user/foo .. /var/imap/domain.b/user/foo .. /var/imap/domain.c/user/foo .. In a exported skiplist DB, it shows like: ================= domain.a!user.foobar 0 int foobar at domain.a lrswipcda postmaster at domain.a domain.a!user.han 0 int han

PAM problem - sshd segfault on Solaris
I'm using OpenSSH-2.9.9p2 on Solaris 8 sparc64. 2.9p2 worked fine, but 2.9.9p2+ is giving me trouble with one thing - sshd segfaults if I try to connect and execute a command, such as "ssh machine ls". Otherwise it works great. sshd will fork, and the child process segfaults. CVS snapshot does the same thing. I've narrowed this down somewhat. It will only happen if you use

using nut in cacti
Hi. Are there any off-the-shelf solutions to monitor nut ups' with cacti? I suppose snmp could be used, but since upsc can be run locally in the cacti server, it might be easier to use a simple script.
