cross compilation?
../openssh-3.1p1/configure --host=mips-linux --build=i686-linux --with-pam does not work. It selects the correct toolchain prefix, but the configure script bails on cross-compilation. Attached is a patch that *might* make the right paranoid assumptions, but I am not positive. -- bryan --- configure.ac.orig Tue Feb 26 22:12:35 2002 +++ configure.ac Wed Mar 27 14:28:02 2002 @@ -437,20 +437,6

Error crosscompiling
Hi, I was trying to crosscompile dovecot, but I got some error: --with-notify=inotify don't work, as it try to run a test program to verify if inotify is supported in the building platform. Solved with --with-notify=dnotify. Ihmo, is more a hack than a solution. | checking whether posix_fallocate() works... configure: error: cannot run test program while cross compiling I can't

Contour on top of 2d histogram
Hi all, I would like to plot one data set as a 2d histogram and another one as a contour. I can do it separately with the "hist2d" and "contour" functions, but I wonder if there is a way to combine these two plots into a single one (the ranges of the two plots are the same). Any suggestions? Thanks, Anna [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Could not load 'USER.DLL' (RH7.2)
I find that I can't run 16-bit apps because of a problem with user.dll. Here is an example. [john]$ wine /mnt/C/Win31/cardfile.exe err:module:BUILTIN_LoadModule loaded .so but dll user.dll still not found Could not load 'USER.DLL' required by 'CARDFILE', error=2 Terminated A 32-bit app (such as notepad.exe) does work though, other than some minor issues related to fonts. CMENU file handling problems.
I'm writing something that's based on Murali Krishnan Ganapathy's CMENU system, except mine's driven by a menu.txt file that I supply (mostly so I can edit the menu.txt wherever I happen to be and so I won't need a syslinux build environment everytime the menu structure changes). I'm able to build up menus that do what I expect, so that's good. However, I want to be

ao: Sun audio plug-in
Here's the promised Sun audio system plug-in. I have tested this on OpenBSD. It should work without changes on NetBSD, too. Jeremy, could you please verify this? After a few minor tweaks it now also compiles on Solaris 2.7. Alas, I can't verify whether it actually plays anything there. I guess this could also with little effort be made to work on SunOS4. configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. This patch works on Solaris

"tree": Extracting deviance & Gaussian model of the node?
Hi I'm trying to use the "tree" package in R to predict intonation for a speech synthesiser and when I feed the feature vector into the tree, I want to get the predicted value and the deviance associated with that node. Q.1 --- I was hoping that the following command will return a tree object of the predicted values, but I get the following error:

I just cobbled up a little patch to add support for OPIE to OpenSSH. Currently untested, but feedback is welcome.
