2.2.1p1 / AIX 4.2.1.0.06 login nits
Hi. New (2.1.1p1) login code is nicer on AIX (4.2.1.0.06). Thanks. A couple of issues, though, which I haven't really dug into yet. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen them? If not, I'll investigate & report. 1. If I set "UseLogin" to "yes", everything seems fine except that the authentication agent forwarding doesn't work. The "SSH"

AIX capabilities not set
Hi, we're in the process of setting up large-page support on IBM regattas, but for large-page support the users have to have a set of extra capabilities (CAP_BYPASS_RAC_VMM,CAP_PROPAGATE). This are configured on a per user basis by listing which capability each user have in /etc/security/user. Unfortunately they don't get set when the users log in via OpenSSH (3.1p1). Does anybody know

SAMBA configuration nightmare (AIX) - idmaps do not work (core dump), ldap/nss_ldap and pam fail
Well, I have tried really hard to get any of the idmaps to work--in that, idmap_ads, idmap_rid, and I have tried to use idmap stroage in ldap with padl (nss_ldap) too, but I have had no luck. If I enable pam in /usr/lib/security/methods.cfg or nss_ldap, I cannot log into the system anymore. If I enable pam in /etc/pam.conf and use in /etc/security/users SYSTEM = "WINBINd or WINBIND[UNAVAIL]

problems building on solaris 2.6
Using the latest cvs sources, the compilation of ssh.c fails. The 'struct rlimit rlim;' line is being expanded by cpp into 'struct rlimit64 rlim;' and there is no struct rlimit64 defined. In order to get the struct rlimit64 to be included when the #include <sys/resource.h> is used, it appears to need the _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE symbol defined OR it needs the '#if

configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. This patch works on Solaris

[PATCH] Add expired password handling for AIX.
Hi All. Attached is a patch which adds AIX native password expiry support to sshd. It will only apply to -current and is a subset of the patch I have been working on in the last few months (see bug #14 [1]). It contains code by Pablo Sor, Mark Pitt and Zdenek Tlusty and fixes for bugs reported by many others (see [2] for a full list). It adds a do_tty_change_password function that execs

Hello people, My difficult is get "nss_ldap" compiled and running on my server. I download the tgz file from PADL Software Pty Ltd website, decompress/untar, and then run "./configure" . ./configure runs just fine with no error message. [PATCH] Password expiry merge (AIX parts)
Hi All. Attached is a patch introduces password expiry handling for AIX (other platforms to follow). It is more or less the same as the previous patch but has been updated to reflect recent changes to auth-passwd.c I'm wondering if the AIX parts of auth.c should be moved to port-aix.c and if the generic password change functions (currently at the end of auth-passwd.c) belong in a separate

Solaris nss_ldap vs PADL nss_ldap
Hi All, Any thoughts on why, while everything seems ok at the OS level (getent , id -a ) Samba doesn't pickup any supplementary groups when Solaris is configured with 'group: files ldap' in nsswitch.conf and using it's own native nss_ldap.so.1 but does when using PADL's nss_ldap? Everything else is equal. Do they use/accept different calls or could it be an
