-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Is anyone having any printing problems in CentOS 4.3? Here's what I'm seeing (problem) 1. Can't import ppd file 2. After manually adding the ppd file it doesn't show up in the gui print tool 3. Haven't been able to share a printer using the gui tool I'm wondering if this is just my problem (user error on my part) or if this

Question about MP3's
Hello all. I know * doesn't directly support recording mp3 files, but I was wondering if anyone has created an AGI to do it indirectly. Thanks in advance. B. Playing MP3's in Asterisk
Hi, Does anyone know what code (if any) format_mp3 uses? I am trying to play a MP3 (e.g. https://mp3.sermonaudio.com/16kbps/6111963257014/6111963257014.mp3) using PlayBack. Iget the famous "mp3/interface.c: Junk at the beginning of frame 49443304" and then right away it exits the PlayBack Application. I know I can use ffmpeg on the fly. I am currently getting the URL to play via an API

Streaming MP3's from Asterisk with Ices
I am trying to stream an mp3 file from an Asterisk meetme conference. Ices and Icecast are streaming mp3 files on their own. I have looked at the info on the wiki and the various readme files. It appears you need to use Ices2 to work with the confirguration file that Asterisk gives you, but it calls Ices. Ices2 appears to only stream ogg files and i would like to stream an mp3 file. Being

ices2 streaming mp3's
Hello, I'm trying to set up an internal broadcasting center for a company. They've got a great many mp3's they'd like to do. I'd like to use either icecast or icecast2 for this and darkice or ices2 as a streamer. This will be on a FreeBSD 5.0 machine. As of now i have not had great success with this setup primarily in the streamer area. I can get either icecast1 or 2 going

converting mp3's to aac+ or ogg
Yeah, ezstream is a source client just like ices0, but the manner in which they go about processing files or playlists may differ. I don't know too much about ices0 but in the configuration for ezstream you can either specify a single file to stream or you can point it to an m3u playlist and it will play though that, I'm not sure this is compatible with how you currently queue media.

converting mp3's to aac+ or ogg
Taking the 128 mp3 and re-encoding to flac won't fix any quality issues you may have as they will retain the same 'flaws'. In the end you'll end up with the same quality as you would have seen going from 128 mp3 to q3 ogg. One nice thing about ezstream is that you can specify decoders for multiple formats so if going and ripping all your media again is too daunting a task you

converting mp3's to aac+ or ogg
For archiving from source media (CD usually) to flac? I typically use EAC either from Windows or Wine as it allows for the most configuration. Off the top of my head I think Sound Juicer will do it for *nix, though there are probably others that work just as well. Chris Dave wrote: > Hi, > Thanks. converting mp3's to aac+ or ogg
Hi, I'll attach my ezstream.xml file to illustrate how ezstream can be "programmed" to do various on-the-fly re-encodings. The basic idea is to treat each <encdec> section as a pair of cmd-line tools: implying a *ix pipe connects the output of the <decode> cmd to the input of the <encode> cmd. The stdout of the <encode> cmd is fed back to ezstream for

converting mp3's to aac+ or ogg
Hello, I've got a FreeBSD 6 machine running icecast2 and ices0streaming four different streams of mp3's. Now i have a need to stream the same content as either aac+ or ogg vorbis whichever would be easiest to set up and give the best quality. I want these new streams to handle both broadband and dialup users without sacrificing quality. My problem is i really really do not want to
