Dom0 lvm/software raid rhel4.1 booting issues.
Basically the issue comes down to my Volume Groups not being found by this initrd, causing good ole kernel panic. initrd-2.6.12.6-xen3_12.1_rhel4.1.img [root@xen01 lvm]# uname -a Linux xen01.inside.***.com 2.6.9-22.0.2.ELsmp #1 SMP Thu Jan 5 17:13:01 EST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux [root@xen01 lvm]# cat /etc/redhat-release Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 2) Everything

passthrough PCI SCSI device
I have a sles10sp3 vm that I''m trying to passthrough a scsi card, which has a DLT tape drive attached. Anyone doing anything similar? When I passthrough the scsi card (forced to do both ports), the vm dies when it loads, I think during udev. I''m viewing the vm through virt-manager, so I can''t scroll up and see what everything says. Is there a way to get the text xm

Intermittent problem, likely disk IO related - mptscsih: ioc0: attempting task abort!
I think the panic is the consequence of drive write failure. So the actual problem is before the panic call trace. I'd post the entire dmesg somewhere wrap safe (either you mail agent or the forum is hard wrapping and is a pain to read). What do you get for smartctl -x <dev> In the meantime check or replace cables, usually it's the connectors that are faulty not the cable itself.

v3.0.0, AD, 2k3 mumbles
I'm running a Samba 3.0.0 server in production in security = ADS mode against a W2k ADS server. Works just fine, thanks! We're sort of under pressure to regrade to a 2003 AD server, which sent me trying stuff out a bit. Meager results. The 3.0.0 I have (linked with MIT krb5-1.2.8) refuses to verify incoming tickets: [2003/10/28 16:27:36, 3]

Cannot boot CentOS 7 VM after updating Host CentOS 7 Kernel
I have something very strange that occurred. After updating the kernel on my host CentOS 7 Dell 2950iii I have found that one of my CentOS 7 guest VMs will no longer boot... it just stops at the grub prompt (a second VM functions just fine). I have no idea why this problem occurred and have been unable to fix it. On google I have found several suggestions as to how to repair grub but so far

Problems exporting a PCI device to a domU...
Hi! I am trying to export a PCI device (an AVM Fritzcard PCI ISDN card...) to a domU but when starting my domU I am getting this error: "pciback pci-4-0: 22 Couldn''t locate PCI device (0000:00:06.0)! perhaps already in-use?" My system is running both debian etch in dom0 and domU... Below you can find (hopefully) all important information... Sincerely, Gaubatz Patrick

KVM Questions
I have a system with two CentOS 7.1 guests. When I created the VMs I did not have enough storage space in the default location /var/lib/libvirt/images so I moved the default location to a directory /home/vmimages. While this configuration is functional I regret creating a new storage pool in /home. I would like to create a separate partition to place the VM images removing them from their
