Questions on making a kickstart cfg
So I took the anaconda cfg, commented out the partition/disk pieces and
ran it off my repo server and it almost worked.
Little things like not including things I had done on network setup. No
first boot.... :)
So now I am reading up on building a kickstart cfg

Milestone
Well I now have a 4.0 server at a solid checkpoint. Before I start the
chore of setting up SAMBA and LDAP.
Part of the delay was I did not copy all of the needed DNS files, and I
have to reerad the BIND book.
So I want to be able to get to this point again easily.
I did not note down what options I had selected during install. Is there
some way in the install log to figure that out?

kickstart from cd
Howdy,
Was wondering if anyone on the list has successfully created a
kickstart cd. I get the thing burnt, looks good, I can browse all the
files, but when I actually boot from it I can't get it to admit the
ks.cfg exists. I *have* been successful with kickstart over http;
just can't seem to make it happen from the cd. Pointers appreciated,
I've been mostly looking at the

How to avoid "firstboot" in CentOS 7 kickstart
Dear Experts,
Sorry about taking shortcut and asking everybody...
My question is: how do you avoid "firstboot" screen in latest CentOS 7.3
kickstart.
I have installed about a dozen of CentOS 7 (none of which was 7.3) with
that kickstart file. None of them ever went to firstboot screen on first
boot. Now after kickstart installation of CentOS 7.3 it goes into
firstboot screen showing

Kickstart problem.
I am trying to use kickstart for automated builds from a DVD. Some of
the machines have DVD's drives and some have CDRom drives only. With the
CDRom only machines I would like to plug in an external DVD drive via
USB and use this to kickstart.
The DVD only machines work correctly with a isolinux.cfg as

unexpected 'reinitialize disk?' prompt form anaconda during kickstart with zerombr
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Anyone have any thoughts on why anaconda might be prompting me to
reinitialize the disk during the kickstart of a Centos6.4 install on
hyperV when
a) the kickstart file contains "zerombr" as referred to in the
installation guide[1]
b) installation proceeds with no prompt on KVM hypervisors and succeeds?
I have read the release notes[2]/tech

kickstart configuration is working fine but some questions
Hallo,
my kickstart configuration (Centos 7.6) is working fine using pxe now but I ve two little problems:
1)
The installation stops in the last screen "installation finished" and doesn't switch to the login-screen.
2)
How can I configure the profile for users to answer all question that are asked after the first login.
Thanks

kickstart install on SAN with multipath
Using CentOS 5.1, though with a few hours work I could update
to 5.2.. I can install to SAN with a single path no problem
but I'd like to be able to use dm-multipath. From the kickstart
docs it seems this is supported but there is no information
as to what the various options mean

centos 5.0/5.1 nfs kickstart
Hi all,
I'm having a bit of trouble with something and was wondering if anyone
else has encountered this or knows what the problem is.
I have one computer I would like to kickstart a centos 5.0 or 5.1 install.

centos 5.0 and centos 5.1 install directories
I wish to do the kickstart over nfs and my network is using MTU

Kickstart issue: 'dialog' doesn't work in %post, CentOS 5.5
Hi, all.
I'm trying to customize a CentOS installation cd, but got trouble with kickstart.
I want to use dialog[1] for command line based user interface, but it can't display correctly in kickstart with CentOS 5.5. Same ks file works with CentOS 5.3 (both i386 and x86_64).
What's the different between CentOS 5.3/5.5? I can't find it in release notes.
And how can i fix it?
Thanks

kickstart - how do I specify I20_block driver
Hi,
I have alot of kickstart and scripting going on as I provision lots of
machines, and every now and then I run into a pesky machine or three
that's still got that Adeptec zero-channel RAID card sitting on the
board. Normally I like to rip it our and throw something more robust
in, but if it's a cache machine or whatever, I leave it in.
It makes my kickstart file useless until I
