Hi, I am just migrating to Centos from fedora core 3. I have 3 boxes involved here: Box A --Fedora 3 (doing the dns, http, sendmail serving duties) Box B --CentOS Box C --CentOS I used to run root passwordless ssh both ways from boxes A and B mainly set up to keep the 2 boxes in sync w/rsync ... these 2 boxes normally ran one being the slave and the other being the master...the master did all

cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi! I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system. While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech spt will tell you as much. I

raid 1 problem
Hi! A few days back ...I upgraded using yum update. I did this on 3 machines of which 2 of the machines are mirrors. I have no problems w/the other 2 machines which leads me to believe that the fault lies in 2.6 but rather I think I have a hard drive failure. while the system is trying to boot up. it goes to: grub stage 2....that's the first thing I seem to find outside of taking forever to

MS Exchange to MBOX
We are planning on moving a large amount of Exchange mailboxes to UNIX mbox format. My question is, does anyone know of any projects out there or of any tools that can assist in this conversion? Thanks Josh

repairing mbox files
Hi folks, Is there a good tool for repairing/working with mbox files? I'm trying to get a user moved off of Entourage (Outlook for Mac). Entourage actually exports the mail (was pop, will be imap) as mbox files, however, I can't just drop them in place even after fixing the line-endings. many of the messages with attachments come up with the correct header info but no message body

Helping CentOS automatically
...If you like the majority of us as I am...there is something we can do for the centos scene that really doesn't cost anything. When you download the distro...just let bittorrent seed indefinitely. By doing this you are contributing to centos as a whole. ...go figure...I'm actually giving the centos cause 17-18 KB/s and the beauty...I don't even miss it! My boxes run 24/7 anyway so

Archive mail format?
I have a bunch of old mail spread variously across dovecot maildirs and mbox format files on several machines that are headed for the trash. Is there anything considered to be a portable archive format for mail messages, and if so are there tools to copy into it - or do I have to pick a client and copy to its local storage? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com

When I do "mail xxxx at y.com" and send it the /var/log/maillog file shows the connection and shows the relay as [127.0.0.1]. Then it just SITS there for a long time. Then it picks up the mail and

vmware, rhel4(or us) problems w/virtual usb ports
I ran across this and glad I did...saved my .10 worth of sanity I got left: It came from: http://kb.vmware.com/KanisaPlatform/Publishing/612/774_f.SAL_Public.html Guest Cannot See USB Device on RHEL4-x64 Host This problem was identified on VMware Server, but may affect other VMware products.
