Memdisk Question
Hi Guys, I'm currently using pxelinux 4.03 and memdisk to boot a DOS based floppy we use this software for training purposes to run a basic hardware check. It does not seem to like systems which have more than 1GB of RAM, which is some of the machines our company are now starting to see. Is there a way I can ask memdisk or PXE linux to use only xxx MB of RAM, e.g. 256MB...?

Newbie Q: Setting up under linux: Spool directory.
I am trying to set up dovecot under linux. (RH9 if it matters). I'm having trouble having it find the mail that is already delivered. What I would like is that mail is delivered by fetch mail to /var/spool/mail/mclay (that me) then have dovecot find it. I'm sure that I have not set the dovecot.conf file correctly. The documentation is unclear as to what "mbox" is and

[PATCH][git-pull] memdisk/setup.c: Limit available RAM hack
git://git.zytor.com/users/genec/syslinux.git Branch memdisk-maxmem-for-hpa This is a preliminary hack to introduce a new option that will allow an end-user to limit the amount of available RAM as returned by any call that MEMDISK touches. This works by adding additional memory reservation(s) (through insertrange()) to reserve the memory between the specified address and the top of RAM. For

[PATCH][git-pull] MEMDISK: Process "mem=" parameter and apply to e820 ranges
git://git.zytor.com/users/genec/syslinux.git Branch memdisk-maxmem-for-hpa The goal of the changes was to process a "mem=" parameter (ie "mem=128M" or "mem=134217728"; same value) and alter the memory map that MEMDISK returns in INT15h AXe820h by changing any type 1 (available) ranges above the "mem=" value to type 2 (reserved) and splitting a type 1 that

[PATCH][git-pull] memdisk/dskprobe.c
git://git.zytor.com/users/genec/syslinux.git Branch memdiskdbg-for-sha0 This starts with adding another check in two of the disk probes (by Shao; Thank you), expands the debug output, adds an additional check in the third probe and expands/reorders the debug output. At this time, it appears to resolve the MEMDISK issues that Jason Vasquez first noticed. The additional check in the third probe

RFC:documents for new modules; Interest in rewriting exiting documentation
I'm interested in redoing doc/syslinux.txt into 2 AsciiDoc documents, splitting configuration from command. First, however, I'm requesting comments on my recent documentation of several modules I have written. My goal is to be clear, concise, and complete. Acknowledgements and constructive comments are welcome. If it would help to also post converted copies of these documents (HTML,

UEFI: Failed to load ldlinux.e64/ldlinux.e32
I have a patch that I think may help your situation of syslinux.efi being unable to load ldlinux.e64/ldlinux.e32 (though I don't know if any of you are using an EFI ia32 platform). The basics are that we try to enable UseDefaultAddress as it helps certain clients with routing and works on numerous other clients. If we timeout on receiving a packet and have never received any packets, disable

function in R for my exercise
Hi R helpers! I have a question. I'm trying to create a function for an exercise. Here are the arguments I should include: x and y are numeric z is a name ("plus","minus","multiply","divide") and swap is logical. Here is what the function should do: When z="plus", then x+y is performed and so on for the other z names. It should give a NA
