Debian bug#604245: Syslinux fails (does not receive key presses on Sony vaio Z12C5E)
Hi, Does this report ring a bell here? I didn't check, but the image should carry an isohybridized 4.02 version of isolinux. The working (lenny) version is 3.71. Thanks, Feri. -------------------- Start of forwarded message -------------------- Subject: Bug#604245: Syslinux fails Date: Sun, 21 Nov 2010 14:13:41 +0100 From: Gyorgy Jeney <nog.lkml at gmail.com> To: submit at

Tags in files with Unicode BOM
Is there any way for flac or metaflac to support input from files with Unicode Byte Order Marks (BOM)? In command: metaflac --remove-all-tags --set-tag-from-file="CUESHEET=CDImage.cue" --set-tag-from-file="LOGFILE=CDImage.log" CDImage.flac If "CDImage.cue" contains Unicode characters, most text editors append BOM at the 1st line of this file. And metaflac does not

isolinux regression? / problem? v3.50 and newer.
Greetings, I have been using isolinux with Microsoft's cdimage.exe for my Utility / Preinstallation cds. I just upgraded from 3.36 to 3.55 and found it to be non functional. I didn't use the -debug version, it just hangs at the version banner. I went through several previous versions, and it appears that 3.50-pre23 is the last working version. I didn't see anything between that

iso 2.00 isolinux: Checksum error, sorry...
Hi, I tried to install redhat 8.0 on a laptop and ran into the following problem. ISOLINUX 1.75 2002-06-14 isolinux failed to get sector size, assuming 0800 isolinux: Image checksum error, sorry... At that point, I followed the advice on the isolinux webpage, and reburned a CD using isolinux 2.00 with debug. The error message was: ISOLINUX 2.00 2002-10-25 Copyright (C) 1994-2002 H. Peter

local APIC error 0x40
Running FreeBSD 8.3 -- and updating sources on a daily base and building everything -- I found a new APIC/ACPI problem introduced in the past week. I have a Toshiba Satellite U205 with an Intel Core Duo (not a Core 2). It used to work fine with both cores but then sometime in on the road to BSD 8.0 the machine began hanging. So I added to /boot/loader.conf hint.apic.0.disabled="1"

Questions about image link file and CUE sheet
I would like to be able to select which tracks I like to play from cdimage-file. So I mean that if I have some flac-file with CUE-data and I like to make playlist for winamp with tracks 1, 3 and 7. How I can do that? With image link files this would be easy, just select link files 1, 3 and 7. Is winamp plug-in having any features for CUE-sheet?

cdrecord Error (Permissions?)
List, Sorry to trouble anyone, a google on my error from k3b lead me to a permissions issue, but after searching through several of the links (including a few forums) I've failed to turn up exactly what the permissions should be or if that is even an accurate solution. When running k3b I get an error stating that cdrecord did not exit properly. And k3b will not burn a cd. Running cdrecord

ISOLINUX versions 3.36 and 3.53 can't boot VIA EPIA CL Motherboard, version 3.31 can
Hi, I'm using Kubuntu and have a problem with the ISOLINUX CDROM booter with versions used since (K)Ubuntu 7.04. The ISOLINUX booter versions 3.36 and 3.53 do not boot my motherboard. The version shipped with Ubuntu 7.04 is I believe ISOLINUX 3.31 but it displays for such a short time I could be wrong. I'm writing to this mail list in case the original Ubuntu bug report never made it

Does this happen with isohybrid ISO images too ?
