problem booting (Fedora) LiveCD ISO over PXELINUX
This is an issue I've researched quite a bit on bug lists, and looked in the Syslinux Wiki for a way to do this, but haven't yet found a solution. 1) I have an existing Fedora 13 LiveCD which I burned to a CD and tested on a system without issue. 2) I then took that same ISO and dropped it in my pxelinux.cfg/default for being able to boot over the network. I made sure to extract the

.call file creation
I am curious partly because it has occurred randomly in my asterisk system. How does one go about creating a .call file for placing a call between two extensions/phones? I know this has been mentioned and is probably in one of the wikis somewhere, but I am unsure exactally how to go about doing it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Dan

Running Xen over NFSv3
Does anyone, is anyone running Xen on NFSv3 successfully? What are some of your pain points/success points? Have you tried a clustered file system with better results such as DRBD or GFS? X taking 100 % cpu on Xen dom0
Hi, I am trying to get X to work on Xen Dom0 running a custom 3.4.10 kernel. with a Nvidia Gt220 card + 295.59 drivers.Although, the drivers get loaded and X starts, but after some time its seems to get stuck in some kind of infinite loop and starts taking up 100 % cpu. This is observed only when i boot up the machine with the Xen hypervisor, otherwise X works well with out the hypervisor being

Issue with pxe chainloading and grub2
Hello everyone, I am trying to chainload grub2 using both pxechain.com and pxechn.c32 and in both cases once grub2 loads it fails to find the grub config file on the server. My setup is as follows: 1. DHCP (192.168.1.2) server points to a multi pxe server menu on itself. The entry in the dhcp config file is: *class "installerator-pxeclients" { match if substring (option

problem with dom0_min_mem on vm creation
Hi List, I get the following error when trying to create a new vm. There is 1024MB total physcial memory on the machine with 320MB used. Error: I need 1045876KiB, but dom0_min_mem is 1048576 and shrinking to 1048576 KiB would leave only 1021888 KiB free. Thanks in advance M _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

trying to chainload the normal ubuntu pxe installer
Hi syslinux experts, So, I have a pxe boot tree that looks something like this: /menu.cfg /linux /ubuntu /amd64 /meerkat (contains a mirror of the netboot ubuntu image) If I set the following in the appropriate stanza of my dhcpd.conf (for isc dhcpd v3), I can boot the ubuntu installer: filename "linux/ubuntu/amd64/meerkat/pxelinux.0"; next-server <tftp_server_ip>; I would

Puppet without FQDN (could not retrieve fact fqdn)
Hello, I am testing Puppet and I would like to use it without having to add a DNS entry. Is there a way around this, or am I required to rely on DNS? More specifically, the reason I ask is I am getting the following error when trying to invoke puppet --mkusers: # puppet master --mkusers warning: Could not retrieve fact fqdn Could not parse for environment production: Could not find file /root/

Chainloading pxe boot loaders and dhcp root-path option
Is there anyway to set dynamically set dhcp options when chain loading another pxe boot loader? I'm setting up a pxelinux network install server and one operating system I want to support is freebsd. Freebsd has its own pxe loader called pxeboot that you can use. You just have to boot it from tftp and set the root-path dhcp option (option 17) to the location of your nfs server with the

Chainloading from one PXELINUX to another (with some iPXE in the mix)?
Hello SYSLINUX folks, thanks for all your hard work over the years! I'm working on a fairly complex deployment services project, and one of the aspects of it is to make it possible to federate deployment services across our university. Supporting existing deployment services is a priority, so I am presently trying to integrate an existing PXELINUX install, part of a FOG windows imaging

Using macros in extensions.lua?
Hi, I have defined a dialplan in lua and now would like to use "dial" with the macro M to implement some logic, when the callee-channel gets created. Working old style would be (extensions.conf) [default] exten => _X,1,dial(SIP/1,,M(mymacro^parameter)) [macro-mymacro] exten => s,1,verbose(${ARG1}) How to implement the same functionality using pbx_lua? Details: Asterisk 11.7

connect to a Samba printer and use local driver (use client driver = yes)
Hi, I'm having trouble doing what should apparently be quite simple: I want my Samba host to share a locally-attached usb printer and I want Windows clients to connect to this printer WITHOUT asking the user to select an appropriate driver since it should already be installed in the client's system. On the Windows client, "printer control panel" -> "File" ->

SYSLINUX 3.07-pre1: chainloading fix
I will not push half-finished features into production. I will not push half-finished features into production. I will not push half-finished features into production. I have pushed out syslinux-3.07-pre1; this should have a fix for the chainloading problem. It actually turned out to be multiple problems, some of which makes me believe chain.c32 probably hasn't worked since 2.12 or so.

localboot.lua: a lua.c32 script that uses DMI data to decide between localboot/chainloading
Hi, we use PXELINUX in our product to show a boot menu on client computers, with options like "Boot from local hard disk", "Install Windows", etc. Unfortunately, a lot of computers seem to have broken BIOSes and won't boot with the LOCALBOOT command, and need to be booted with chain.c32 instead. We also have encountered some computers where it works only the other way -
