Hi, since version 0.12, btrfs-progs fails to build from source (FTBFS) on IA64. I've not looked into the issue yet, but though I'll just let you know about it already. The buildlog can be seen on: http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=ia64&pkg=btrfs-tools&ver=0.12-1 Regards, Daniel -- Address: Daniel Baumann, Burgunderstrasse 3, CH-4562 Biberist Email:

HDT & Debian ?
On 07/05/2010 08:20 AM, Erwan Velu wrote: > I just saw you get into the mailing list ;) heh :) > Does debian on the road to add HDT ? well, since hdt is included in syslinux, debian has hdt already since a log time (within the syslinux-common package that ships the com32 modules). however, more interestingly, hdt needs to be integrated within the syslinux menu on the installer and live

default64 patch?
I stumbled across the following patch and wondered if it wouldn't be a good idea to have it included. http://foldingcd.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/foldingcd/trunk/folding_cd/patches/syslinux-3.51-64bit.patch?revision=5 It adds a default64 keyword and detection of a 64bit processor. It could be useful for mixed environments. The patch is against 3.51, but looks like it would port

[PATCH] tftpd.c: write a pid file in standalone mode
The default path is /var/run/tftpd-hpa.pid, which can be overridden by the newly introduced -P option. On normal termination (SIGTERM or SIGINT) the pid file is automatically removed. Moved setting the umask later, right before entering the select loop, so that it does not affect the permissions of the pid file. 3.70 without "finished" gpxelinux.0?
Hello all, I'm thinking about wrapping up a 3.70 release, even though gpxelinux.0 is technically not feature-complete. I'd like people's opinion on it. -hpa

Anyone interested in scripts for multiple PXELinux configs in a single TFTP directory
Dear syslinux list members, I'm a newbie on this list. I hope I don't offend anyone by being slightly off-topic. I had the problem of wanting multiple Linux distros (i.c. Debian, Ubuntu, OpenSuSE, SuSE, RedHat, CentOS, Fedora) installable from a single PXELinux menu, so I wrote a couple of scripts that do what is described below. The question is whether anyone would be interested in

Trouble with Superfloppy format
Hello, are there known issues with some bioses not booting from Superfloppy format? All I get is the Syslinux (c) line and nothing else happens afterwords. Everything works fine if a partition is added to the device. Unfortunately however the target device can not be partitioned. Any hint? I would be willing to try such an ISO with qemu+OVMF. Regrettably my real test iron has no EFI firmware. Do you know the

Problems porting to an ARM platform
Hello, currently I'm working on getting ssh and sshd running on an ARM platform. The OS is Linux 2.6.10 with busybox. I can run "ssh -v" to see the program version. But as soon as I try to connect to a server I get a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV). The sshd seems to work. Are there any known issues concerning ARM platforms? Or any hints about compiler options (GCC)? Regards,

Hello list, I sucessfully booted some floppy-images within memdisk-2.0.4, but how can I boot a cd-iso-image (for example a bootable eltorito cd). Or does sb. have a wrapper or a skript which can boot an iso-image ?
