[PATCH] chain.c: allocation fixes
1) At the end of main, there's attempt to free cur_part->record, which rarely comes from malloc. Only valid case is if gpt handover was performed and chaining was not successful (cur_part->record is overwritten with gpt specifc handover record). Freeing the handover area has been adjusted. 2) If our current iterator is ebr, parent wouldn't be freed at the end of main. Added generic

[RFC/PATCH] New chainloading functionality
This patch introduces extra functionality to chain.c, mainly with reference to BPB adjustments, but not only that. It expects 3 small patches I sent earlier (they are included for easy reference, patches 1-3/4). The changes introduced are: 1) file and boot sector use separate options to control load address and jump address (if applicable). Options are as described below: *

PATCH/RFC chain.c: update iterator code, yank from chain.c, move both to separate directory
1) code split and move Iterator related functionality is yanked from chain.c and moved to iterator.{c,h}. Both are moved to com32/chain and this way chain.c is ready for further splitting. Alternatively, partiter could be moved to com32/lib at any time in the future. It's potentially useful for other modules (e.g. if someone wanted to code partition dumper or editor). 2) Iterator updates

chain.c: fix v2 for public indexes in iterators (for master and disklib)
>From the earlier patches - that simple fix for indexes not counting non-data partitions in gpt and mbr cases. Patches don't touch any other parts of the code at this stage - bigger stuff later for disklib as we agreed - but this is potentially useful right now. [PATCH nbdkit 4/9] common/regions: Use new vector type to store the list of regions.
A fairly straightforward replacement, but note that we must rename all variables called ‘regions’ as something else (eg. ‘rs’) because -Wshadow warns about them (which is surprising to me since I thought this warning only applied to local vs global variable, not local variable vs global typedef). Also I got rid of the get_regions accessor method, replacing it everywhere with direct use of

isohybrid boot from logical partition
Hi, the description of wikipedia matches the behavior of fdisk. Statements by hpa several years ago indicate that the relative start LBA of logical partitions is indeed a troublemaker between GRUB and SYSLINUX. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I created by help of fdisk this layout Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type ebr_fdisk.img1

[PATCH 2/2 v2] com32/disk: Improve flow at disk_write_sectors and disk_read_sectors.
This patch will improve the flow at disk_write_sectors and disk_read_sectors. It does that by creating a table of values respective to the operation. Besides, read and write operations are pretty similar to each other, so I redesigned the routines to avoid duplication. isohybrid boot from logical partition
Hi, i think i found the reason for the boot failure in the definition of Extended Boot Records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_boot_record#Values "Starting sector = relative offset between this EBR sector and the first sector of the logical partition. Note: This is often the same value for each EBR on the same hard disk; usually 63 for Windows XP or older." So if
