[PATCH] Fix recognition of keeppxe option
> Pushed. Thank you for digging so deeply on this. > Gene, For the c32 modules to be able to use the keeppxe option, and considering that the issue in v.5.+ is that 'IS_PXELINUX' is/was dead code, is there any chance that the code in: com32/modules/whichsys.c would help? I mean, as a different way of detecting the Syslinux variant. In fact, the original idea of having the

bug in ifcpu64 if !pae and only two options?
Hello, ifcpu64.c has the following comment: * append boot_kernel_64 [-- boot_kernel_32pae] -- boot_kernel_32 Also in NEWS: (and optionally 32-bit kernels with or without PAE.) However, if one doesn't specify boot_kernel_32pae but only boot_kernel_64 and boot_kernel_32, and if the CPU doesn't have support for PAE, args[2] will be executed unconditionally, with no check for if

Two APC900 UPS on the same usbbus1
Hi! On my FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE-p7 server I was unable to retrieve the correct information from my two UPS. Every time only the first UPS will returned when I entering "upsc apc900" or "upsc apc901". I don't know why (Bug or configuration issue on my side?!). I have downloaded the latest source code and with my "patch" I was able to get the right information

Issues with syslinux_run_command(str) and parameters
With the latest 6.03pre I'm seeing an issue where no parameters are passed to the image executed via syslinux_run_command(). An example of this is whichsys.c32, which uses this. E.g., using an example from the wiki page - whichsys.c32 -iso- chain.c32 hd0 -sys- chain.c32 hd1 swap - results in a loop back to the isolinux menu as chain.c32 receives no parameters. Similarly, using -iso- memdisk

Issues with syslinux_run_command(str) and parameters
Thanks Ady, you were spot on, and I should have tested that scenario! I narrowed the issue down to a line in my config: ALLOWEDOPTIONS 0 The comment next to it in my config indicates this was added to disallow users dropping to the console with Escape or Tab, a restriction I would like to keep. BUT, when this is set whichsys fails to function in the manner I described. And similarly if I end up

Issues with syslinux_run_command(str) and parameters
More context to this: syslinux_run_command calls into load_kernel(), and somewhere behind load_kernel things break. This is also broken at the boot: console prompt. Any commands executed at the boot: prompt also lose all parameters. --Ian > From: ian at internals.io > To: syslinux at zytor.com > Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2014 13:55:39 -0500 > Subject: [syslinux] Issues with

Patch for chain.c32: Set default boot drive to CD drive from which ISOLINUX is booted
chain.c32 of SYSLINUX 3.82 does set the boot drive passed to the DL register to 0x80 and not to the boot drive (CD-drive). This can be a problem if you want to chainload grldr (grub4dos bootloader) from a CD and if you want to let grldr search for its menu.lst file on the CD. For more info: http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8457 This 1 line patch fixes the issue (Thanks to

[PATCH] ifgpxe.c32
ifgpxe.c32 is a com32 module that will run one command if gPXE extensions are available, and a different command if not. At VMware, we use this module to chain-load gpxelinux.0 from pxelinux.0. Both of those binaries use exactly the same configuration file, and this module allows us to differentiate between the two cases and break the infinite chain-loading loop that might result. Typical usage:

Issues with syslinux_run_command(str) and parameters
I didn't see any further communication here; would anyone be against my submitting/proposing a patch for this? I can see two possible approaches. One approach would be to isolate the restriction on user commands away from syslinux_run_command / load_kernel. Another would perhaps be to add support for a 'NOTAB' or 'NOTABTOEDIT' option. There already exists a NOESCAPE
