Confusion on lpxelinux vs. gpxelinux vs. ipxe vs gpxe.
Hi All,
I've been trying to understand how to use pxechn.c32 to chain a local
pxelinux menu item to a remote server which has it's own pxelinux hierarchy
served via TFTP and HTTP.
We have no control over DHCP next-server and filename fields so I wanted to
exploit the "prefix" -p option that pxechn.c32 accepts.
I spent a long time hitting my head against a brick wall until I

mmap() Error, Invalid Argument - Double slash in path?
I get a ton of these mmap() errors in the log. I noticed there's a
double slash before Maildir. Is this normal? Config error? Dovecot bug?

forward slash vs double backslash R and Tinn-R
I installed the newest version of R and once again ran into problem
with Tinn-R failing when trying to use the R explorer. I had this
problem once before and solved it when I added the following
.trPaths = c(
'C:/Documents and Settings/fbuchins/Application Data/Tinn-R/tmp/',
'C:/Documents and Settings/fbuchins/Application Data/Tinn-R/tmp/search.txt',

A fork is a fork, regardless the reasons behind it (yes, I have some
understanding in this case). iPXE is based off of forking further
development as of a certain gPXE commit with some backporting of gPXE
development to iPXE.

How would this solution handle filenames containing spaces? Would we
need to escape (presumably with a backslash)

[syslinux.exe] Failures to use\install on xp+ntfs
I made several attepmts using the tree of 5.01 2013.
My syslinux.cfg file has
display /path_to/syslinux.cfg
directive.
1. The installation, with a --directory option, was successful.
After boot I got syslinux boot prompt. The syslinux.cfg was not
displayed. I guess that means the MBR was there, but not the
partition boot sector.
Then I noticed the thread at

Argh! The patch was broken. I missed the new core/path.c file. My bad.

Syslinux EFI + TFTPBOOT Support
I am currently unable to get Syslinux v6.03 to load kernel + ramdisk when
booting from a PXE server in EFI mode. Is this a feature that is currently
supported? If not, is there a known time frame for which support will be
added? Thanks.

Syslinux 6.04-pre1
After so much time and improvements, I'm glad to see and publicize a
pre-release, 6.04-pre1 in
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/Testing/6.04/
Personally, I've already been working testing the pre-release as-is
and my tests have been positive so far. I appreciate feedback like
that from Gabriele Balducci and testing "make bios installer".
