HP Probook 6570b - Unable to locate configuration file
Hi, We currently use pxelinux and tftp-hpa for pxe booting new machines and installing our OS of choice. This has worked great for the past year, and just about every HP laptop we've tried so far has worked flawlessy, until now...? We recently bought a bunch of HP ProBook 6570b laptops but couldn't get them to work with our pxelinux setup. What we see is that the 6570b stops at the

[BISECT] gpxelinux.0 stalls at Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/.....
While trying out gpxelinux.0, I realized that it didn't work in the latest release candidate. This is what happens: This is a screenshot from a VM: http://bsfh.ath.cx/gpxe.png It hangs there for a long time. I tried in two configurations: 1) Qemu KVM with tap networking, ISC dhcpd and tftp from iputils on the host. 2) Desktop, dnsmasq from OpenWRT as dhcp/tftp server. The only difference on

syslinux 6.03pre17 + gpxelinux.0 + iso from http not working
Hello, I am running Debian testing x64 and have manually installed the 6.03pre17 deb packages for extlinux, pxelinux, syslinux, syslinux-common, syslinux-stuff and syslinux-utils. I have a working tftpd-hpa 5.2-18 PXE system and can boot PCs to it. All .c32 binaries, gpxelinux.0 and memdisk are from the Debian packages and everything works except for http/https sources of ISOs. I have tried both

syslinux 6.03pre17 + gpxelinux.0 + iso from http not working
Ady, I had not previously tried three slashes, but have now. No difference unfortunately. I've also tried using the web server on the same machine as the PXE server and using 'http://127.0.0.1/Software/Util1.iso' as the URL, again to no avail. It appears not to be able to connect to anything via http or https. Presumably it uses network settings (such as the gateway) provided by the

SYSLINUX 3.10-pre20 menu.32 hang in SIS900 bootrom
Hi, HPA: Thanks for the nice new features, appreciate that. Syslinux is always a nice program. For the new version, 3.10-pre20, I encountered a problem now, my client machine uses sis900 chip, and it still can not run simple menu with pxelinux in this version (3.10-pre20). It's same situation as I encountered when I used syslinux 3.07, 3.08 and 3.09. For 3.10-pre20, I compiled in Fedora

SIS900 NIC [on board], pay some attention, please !
Hello there ! I was writing to freebsd lists some time ago, again asking for some help about SIS900 NIC. Then some other people also complained that the sis900 driver that comes with FreeBSD 4.x and FreeBSD-CURRENT (later 5.0) doesn't actually work at all. So some patches were released and also the drivers in -STABLE and -CURRENT were also updated. And guess what, it is still not working on

gpxelinux local disk boot does not work
I have a lab in which I keep all my computers set to try network boot first that way it is easy to put a file in pxelinux.cfg of the mac address of a faulty machine and have it build itself or run diagnostics. Up till recently I used pxelinux.0. I have been trying out gpxelinux so that I can use its http fuctionality to download initrd images faster to boot. I just discovered that its local boot

temporary fix for gpxelinux.0 not doing localboot
As I had noted in the past gpxelinux.0 fails (on most of my machines) at localboot 0 where as pxelinux.0 works with localboot 0 (on all of my machines) I needed to do local boot by default (not first hard drive but local boot where it ends pxe booting and looks at the next device) I also had a few iso images that took too long while downloading from tftp and I wanted to use gpxelinux.0 with its

syslinux 6.03pre17 + gpxelinux.0 + iso from http not working
Is there anything else I can try before I give up? I tried putting the verbosity of tftpd-hpa up to 9 but it's not giving me any extra clues. Can I make syslinux produce more verbose output of messages? Regards, Matt > -----Original Message----- > From: H. gpxelinux questions
Hi All, I've been enjoying playing with gpxe and gpxelinux, however I have a few questions that I'd love to get some answers for... 1) Will gpxelinux support chain loading of other NBPs without hanging or is this already resolved ? 2) Why does gpxelinux take much longer than pxelinux to enumerate the UUID, MAC address, then hex IP address chop ? 3) Can gpxelinux load gpxe scripts at all
