Ack...OpenSSH no longer compatible with SSH 1.2.26 clients?
I just tried, on a whim, to use an OpenSSH client vs SSH 1.2.26 client, and I can connect with it... Something drastic change between pre23 and pre24? Then again, I can't get pre23 to work anymore either, after further investigation :( OpenSSH clients connect no problem, just not the old SSH 1.2.26 clients ... Marc G. Where is WillPaginate::Finders ???
Hi All! It''s been a while since I had to ask for help, but I''m back! I''ve finished beta testing my big app and started the transition to production. Everything went fine and the production version was working till I was asked to add another model :-( (Almost a year of beta testing and they only come up with it after moving to production :-D ) I successfully

Slackware 4.0: wtmp and pty.c problems
Hello all, I use a Slackware 4.0 based system (libc5 based, with glibc2.07 runtime support). I've configured OpenSSH using: ./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh --without-pam --with-default-path=/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbi n:/sbin NOTE: yes, --with-default-path DOES work, since pre24 (pre 22 did not) When I try to compile OpenSSH-1.2.1pre25 (or pre24 or pre22), I

recompiling syslinux 4.00pre31
Hello, I try to recompile syslinux-4.00 pre31 on RHEL5 with gcc-4.1.2 and nasm 2.07. Because I'm looking for information about that gpxelinux->chain.c32 hd0 boot problem I added -DDEBUG=2 to com32/lib/Makefile I get: objdump -h pxelinux.elf > pxelinux.sec perl lstadjust.pl pxelinux.lsr pxelinux.sec pxelinux.lst objcopy -O binary pxelinux.elf pxelinux.raw ../lzo/prepcore

/etc/ssh/shosts.equiv ignored?
I'm trying to replace ssh 1.2.27 with openssh 1.2.1-pre* It seems that a openssh client accessing any openssh/ssh server I've setup always results in a password prompt. It also seems that a openssh server requires ssh clients to provide a password regardless of the entries in the /etc/ssh/shosts.equiv file. If I shut off the openssh server and run a ssh server then normal ssh client

Accessing Rails helper method with_output_buffer
Hi all, I cannot figure out how to correctly use the with_output_buffer helper method (located in ActionView::Helpers::CaptureHelper) inside a custom FormBuilder. Below follows a simplified example. I''m trying to achieve the following behavior in an ERB as suggested in the form_for helper docs in the Rails source: ========== <%= form_for @object, :builder => MyFormBuilder do

chainboot Windows on second drive
Hi, I'm new to the list. I've replaced grub by extlinux to multi boot my system. Now, I can't manage to boot one of my systems. I have 5 hard drives, 3 of them being part of a raid0 array, and one of them being here for backup purposes (can be removed). So the total 'logical' drives number is 2. First drive: - primary partition holding a rescue Windows XP system (ntfs) -

chain.c32: Chainboot failed!
When you try to boot the FreeDOS kernel with 'fs' specified, chain.c32 won't boot the FreeDOS kernel. boot: chain.c32 fs freedos=kernel.sys Loading the boot file... Booting... Chainboot failed! boot: It would be nicer that chain.c32 will automatically correct 'fs' to 'boot' behavior, so it won't fail. msdos= will probably behave the same as freedos=. - Gert

Chainboot to XP Embedded
Hi Folks, I've been playing around with SYSLINUX for a little bit; here's what I'm trying to do... My disk will have three partitions: [BOOT: (FAT16 w/ SYSLINUX)] [OS1] [OS2] OS1 and OS2 will both contain an XP Embedded system which is read-only and which will always boot from a hibernate file. What I'd like to be able to do if flip-flop between them at runtime (that is, run

chainboot from grub to syslinux in logical partition
For reasons I won't get into, I need to use grub (not grub4dos, super grub, or any other variant) as multiboot loader on a USB thumb drive, but I also need some of the partitions to contain bootable content from syslinux-based ISOs. All of these syslinux partitions must be logical rather than primary partitions and they will not be the first partition on the drive. Porting the syslinux

Great, another rhosts bug ...
Wow, this is definitely turning out to not be my month ... upgrade all the servers to OpenSSH due to SSH1.2.26 vulnerabilities ... .rhosts doesn't work anymore :( Get that fixed ... now rhosts of usera:hosta -> userb:hostb, where userb:hostb's rhosts has 'hosta usera' in it fails ... I don't know if these are problems specific to Solaris 7 or not, but can ppl check their

pathbased: linux/syslinux.c:421:open() yields error
>From the current pathbased branch, linux/syslinux.c, line 421, open() yields an error on a FAT floppy image, 2.88M standard size. At first, this was a floppy that did have a previous version of SYSLINUX installed. I saved that floppy image and tried deleting ldlinux.sys with the same results. I'm still trying to drill away and find more about its status and understand what is

ROSH: Status
Just a status update on my progress with ROSH: I now have it able to compile as a COM32 and Linux ELF on the pathbased branch. The main reason I am using the Linux ELF is to test and compile a little easier and faster. At this point, it's approaching a stable, usable state. However, it depends on some changes to libutil, the main COM32 library, and the Syslinux core. I think I have the

Can't get COM32 + GDB to work
Hey guys, I can't seem to figure out how to debug a COM32 app with GDB under qemu. I start "qemu -s" and then "gdb hello.elf ; target remote:1234" but can't set any breakpoints that work. I"m using syslinux4 (pathbased from the repo). Can anyone verify that they can use qemu+com32+gdb with something as simple as com32/samples/hello.c32 ? Also, is it

Syslinux 3.85 chain.c32 problem solved
Thanks to debugging information from Thomas Mieslinger, I have root-caused the failure of chain.c32 in Syslinux 3.85. I have put out Syslinux 3.86-pre1 and Syslinux 4.00-pre33 which fix the problem. I expect to release a Syslinux 3.86 relatively shortly (ideally in the next two weeks), with bug fixes only. I would like to figure out if there are other bug fixes we can get in in reasonable time,
