Library_modules (list of & wiki write permissions)
Hello,
I poked a little bit to extract the list of modules dependencies in
Syslinux v6 (see below). I have attached a bash script that generate a
nice table from the tarball. The output can either be an ASCII table, or
wiki markup, typically for the page Library_modules[1].
I am not in the wiki Editor group, so I can't put that in the wiki.

[PATCH] virtio-balloon: fix managed page counts when migrating pages between zones
In case we have to migrate a ballon page to a newpage of another zone, the
managed page count of both zones is wrong. Paired with memory offlining
(which will adjust the managed page count), we can trigger kernel crashes
and all kinds of different symptoms.
One way to reproduce:
1. Start a QEMU guest with 4GB, no NUMA
2. Hotplug a 1GB DIMM and only the memory to ZONE_NORMAL
3. Inflate the balloon

ifcpu[64].c32 functions drop to command line
I'm having issues with the ifcpu[64].c32 modules. I am building a menu system (as opposed to the command line only options I was previously using) to make it easier for my boss to use PXE. I discovered the modules for auto detecting the CPU and thought hey, that's great! However, I'm having an issue where when I select to boot say System Rescue CD, it drops me to the command line

pxelinux 4.10 pre17 http:// on VMware works now
Hi,
I finally managed to test pxelinux 4.10 pre17 in our VMware environment and
can report that HTTP booting seems to work reliably now. Downloads are
fairly fast.
As a side note, rosh "ls" and "pwd" commands now work as expected with a
HTTP TFTP prefix, cool!
I'll leave it in production use now and report about any further issues.
Can you already tell when a 4.10

COM32 module: Read-Only shell
Well, here's the read-only shell (rosh) that I've been working on.
It's functional but still quite rough. My primary intention of
posting it at this time is such that people have an easy way to
demonstrate to themselves that the library calls I made work.
This should apply as a patch to the head of the "dir" branch and the
patch for c_cflag/c_lflag. The patch is only

[PATCH] fs: fix call to fs_ops->readdir
Check if fs_ops->readdir is available before calling it.
At least PXELINUX doesn't implement it.

Syslinux 4.06 and 5.00-pre9 Binary Sizes
This is an attempt to avoid potential confusion. Here are some example
sizes for the two Syslinux versions mentioned in the e-mail subject.
Your build results might be different.

rosh patch
Hey Guys,
Below is a patch for the com32/rosh/rosh.c from tonights syslinx git.
The patch does the following:
1) changes the rosh_issp to use an if instead of a case for this simple
test.
2) changes the rosh_dir_arg function to move the readdir() to inside the
while test.
This will let me go through my APUE book.
Let me know if you have any questions.

rosh patch V2
Here is a second version of my patch from last night.
It uses the provided ctype function isspace and does the same readdir().
I remove the rosh_issp() function. I admit to being a bit liberal with my
use of braces and spaces.
We all of the habit of knowing we can invent a more perfect wheel.
Let me know if you have any questions.

PXELINUX problems with 6.03-pre12
Hi,
I have been using 6.03-pre11 lpxelinux.0 to deliver standard (TFTP) and HTTP based vmlinuz and kernel images.
Things are working fine.
When I upgraded the same to 6.03-pre12 it stopped working.
On the console of the machine that is booting, is stalls infinitely at the line:

Missing make dependencies?
I'm seeing some sporadic build failures with 'make -j4'. The failures are:
make[4]: *** No rule to make target 'hello.c32', needed by 'all'. Stop.
I've only seen the failures with com32/samples/hello.c32 and com32/rosh/rosh.c32.
I'm not a make expert, but I think it's due to missing dependencies. This patch
seems to fix my failures, but I'm
