[LLVMdev] LLVM on Solaris/Intel?

It might help to run make without -j until > it fails, and then use `make VERBOSE=1` to print the exact commands > it's running. Sorry. There was so much output I wasn't sure how much

looks in liblapack.a not liblapack.so
I can't compile R-alpha on AMD 64. Rather than include a 1400 line script I have put it on the web http://www.stat.umn.edu/~charlie/typescript.txt way down near the bottom it fails building lapack.so gcc -shared -L/usr/local/lib64 -o lapack.so Lapack.lo -llapack -lblas -lg2c -lm -lgcc_s /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.5/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld:

git problem
I'm trying to get the head source so I can try the patch Ram mentioned in his email but without success. I have not used git/cogito before. The output below is from a cygwin session but I get similar results on Ubuntu as well (a bit more of the html ending with 'as an object to pull'). So whatever is wrong is common to my cygwin and Ubuntu setup. Thanks, Andrew $ cg clone -s

Plotting symbols with two positions?
Thanks a lot to Demitris for a prompt answer some minutes ago on another tread (see below). To avoid excess mails on the list, I move onto next question: I have another small plotting problem that confuses me. I want to plot results from a field trial series, using the numbers of the trials as symbols in the plot. pch = as.character(trial_no) works fine, but truncates the trial number to the

All -- Has anyone gotten samba to compile under RH 7.2? I tried: 2.2.2 NOPE 2.2.0 NOPE 2.0.0 NOPE 1.9.00 YES CVS HEAD NOPE In the cases of the 2.* versions (and CVS head) I ran ./configure and make. In the case of 1.9.00, I edited the Makefile for a non- shadow Linux host (and added -lcrypt). I'm attaching a typescript file of my latest attempt at

managing data
Dear mailing list, may some one be kind to help me solve following problem. I am trying to write a code that will combine two tables "x" and "y". The first columns of both tables are unique identification for the rows. The first column of table "X" is a sub set of the first column of "Y". I need to find the matching rows in both tables by looking on their

replacing a factor value in a data frame
Hi All, I have the following problem, that's driving me mad. I have a dataframe of factors, from a genetic scan of SNPs. I DO have NAs in the dataframe, which would look like: V4 V5 V6 V7 V8 V9 V10 1 TT GG TT AC AG AG TT 2 AT CC TT AA AA AA TT 3 AT CC TT AC AA <NA> TT 4 TT CC TT AA AA AA TT 5 AT CG TT CC AA AA TT 6 TT CC TT AA AA AA TT 7 AT CC

[LLVMdev] Trouble traversing the CallGraph
I am finding some weird behavior in the CallGraph, and am not sure what am I doing wrong. When trying to traverse nodes in the CallGraph I get stuck in nodes representing external functions. Take the following code: ----- #include <stdio.h> int main() { printf( "Hello World!\n" ); } ----- If I try to traverse the CallGraph using the following code: ----- CallGraph CG

.Call with C and Fortran together (PR#8122)
Full_Name: Ricardo Luiz de Andrade Abrantes Version: 2.1.1 OS: Debian Linux, kernel 2.6.8 Submission from: (NULL) (201.6.83.153) The problem can be well explained with the following example: Suppose I made a program in fortran, and a C interfacece to it. Now I want to use this C interface in R to call my fortran program. Then I modified my C file to deal with SEXPs and compile it as a shared

na.action in model.tables and TukeyHSD
Hello everybody! I use R 1.6.2 in Windows, and have a problem controlling the na.action. In a dataset with twelve trials, one of the trials lack any readings of the variable "STS.SH" (standing power at harvest) Fitting an aov() object with the call: led1t7sts.aov <- aov(STS.SH ~ Trial/Block + Treatment + Treatment:Trial, data = led1t7, na.action=na.exclude) seems to work as it

update.packages()
Dear all, W.XP I recently upgraded to R2.10.0 and did what I usually do: copied all "special" libraries from the old installation and then used "update.packages()" on the command line. Nothing happened. Then I clicked on the same command on the droplist which generated "update.packages(ask='graphics')", but still with no effect. When I tried to load the

SYSLINUX development is now in "git"
I have now migrated SYSLINUX development from CVS to "git". A clonable repository is available at: rsync://rsync.kernel.org/pub/scm/boot/syslinux/syslinux.git If you're doing any kind of development of syslinux, I recommend installing cogito and git and cloning this repository. It will both yours and my workflow a lot nicer. It will also let people see ongoing syslinux

Boxplots illustrating the fixed effects in a lme object
Hello all, I posted a similar question recently but I suspect that it was not well enough formulated to trigger any answers. So I try again: Is there a way to produce boxplots (or something similar) that uses the estimated fixed effects of an lme{nlme} object? When I want to know the mean, I use estimable{gmodels} together with an appropriate matrix. I did look for a similar tool to estimable in

Problems with abline adding regression line to a graph
Hello all, R2.1.1, W2k I try to make a plot of a simple regression model in this way: > with(njfA_bcd, { + plot(TC_OS.G31,Prot,cex = 2, col = "red", xlab= "TC/OS at GS32", + ylab="Grain crude protein (CP)") + }) This part works well and produces the datapoints as red circles. When I try to add a line, using a fitted linear model in a way that works perfect

The 'REP' term in AMMI{agricolae}
Dear all, W2k, R 2.5.1 I am trying out the AMMI function in the agricolae package, to analyse the dependence of environment for a certain cultivar. The function responds to four basic variables: ENV Environment GEN Genotype REP Replication Y Response My question concerns the 'REP' term. When I normally do an analysis of variance, the replication would refer to repeated observations
