tftpd server S not responding
I have a tftpd server S running on centos 7 and managed by systemd It is not respoding to A server which is sending the tftp read request RRQ. I do see the RRQ packets coming from A to S, but S never responds back from a different port Y to A So this part is working fine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivial_File_Transfer_Protocol#/media/File:Tftp-rrq.svg But I do not see any attempts to

PXELinux sporadic hangs searching for config file
Very sporadicially (1 out of every 40-5000 boots), our blade system will hang indefinately while PXE Linux is attempting to locate it's configuration file. This is causing our automated testing to hang and generate failures. I have put more details below. My concerns are threefold: 1) System hangs 2) PXE Linux bootstrap never seems to retry the transaction 3) PXE Linux bootstrap never seems

Display file problem with PXELINUX
Hi All, I am having trouble with pxelinux display file not calling the correct name to retrieve the graphic image. I guess the filename length is determained the first time ^X is used, and doesnt re-size the field name on next call. For example when cycling through F1 - F2 - F3 the f1 image displays fine, and its the longer name f2 & f3 just display the text and no image, output from

UEFI/EFI booting and constantly asking for ldlinux.e64
I'm setting up UEFI booting and got to the point of having the system talk to the dhcpd/tftpd server, grab the first image files (syslinux.efi) and then continuously request the secondary image file (ldlinux.e64). I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if someone can point me in the right direction of trouble shooting this. The tftp root has all the files to boot a BIOS type

tftp problems
I've used TFTP server on CentOS/RHEL 7 and 8 but not 9, so take my notes with the appropriate grain of salt... JIC, confirm on the TFTP server you have a process socket for it, e.g. $ netstat -a | grep tftp udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:tftp 0.0.0.0:* Your 'systemctl status' output implies things are OK, but worth a check. I don't see a "tftpboot" symlink

I've begun tinkering with syslinux v3 and have uncovered an anomoly with the DISPLAY file when called by pxelinux.0. If I have: DISPLAY boot.msg With an "^Xsplash.lss\n" in the file boot.msg (exactly: 18 73 70 6C 61 73 68 2E 6C 73 73 0A) file, it will fail to load the rle image. And produce some goofy results in the tftpd log: Jun 5 06:27:06 pxe in.tftpd[24649]: RRQ from

Authentification Dovecot + Samba4
Hello list, I am struggling with setting up dovecot 2.1.7 with samba 4.1.2 on debian wheezy. Dovecot should authenticate via LDAP, but I?cannot get it to work reliably. Sometimes auth works, sometimes not. Referals are already activated in ldap.conf ? LDAP-authentication works fine with other clients (Apache Directory Studio, ?)? Has somebody got a similar setup running? I would love some hints
