libc6-xen not used on AMD Geode LX system
Hi, I'm trying to install xen+Debian Etch on a Geode LX system. Xen boots fine, but although the package "libc6-xen" is installed I have a large number of such errors: 4gb seg fixup, process syslogd (pid 1878), cs:ip 73:b7f24610 All processes triggers it, and from what I've found on the web it's a sign that libc6-xen is not recognized. Indeed:

xf86-video-amd has been renamed xf86-video-geode
Courtesy notice for developers - the xf86-video-amd driver has been renamed to xf86-video-geode to avoid confusion with AMD's other GPU offerings. This should help cut down on mis-directed bug reports and questions. Thanks, Jordan -- Jordan Crouse Systems Software Development Engineer Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

Optimizing on AMD Geode (MMX, no SSE)
I'm trying to improve Opus on an AMD Geode CPU, which has limited SSE support (called 3DNow!), but MMX. Without optimizations I can only encode 16 bit audio @16KHz with complexity up to 2-3 without underruns. I tried compiling with SSE2/4 optimizations, but all I got was a crash with SIGILL, so I looked into optimized code and found that a good starting point was the dot product, so I

CentOS 5.x on Geode LX
Greetings all- I'm currently working with CentOS 5.x (various version 5.0 - 5.5) attempting to run it on a system based on the AMD Geode LX CPU. There are known issues with this CPU running Centos 5, specifically those listed here: http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2552 The kernel and system run fine on the Geode LX, but the installer detects the CPU as i586. Since there is no i586 kernel

[PATCH 1/3] Fix loading of *.lkrn images from gPXE
Attempts to load *.lkrn images were failing with "Not enough memory to load specified image". These images have the su_ramdisk_max header field set to zero, and the code in core/runkernel.inc was limiting MyHighMemSize too early (before the load_high call used to load the main part of the kernel). Hey, I just wanted to mention that the same problem still exists for me in version 3.09, altough the changelog mentions: Reduce the command line to 511 characters; 1023 caused memory overflows. Was this meant to be a solution for this problem, or does this entry of the changelog apply to another bug? thx, marco >Yesterday Curtis Doty said: > > > >>I've begun

[PATCH] com32/lib/syslinux/load_linux.c: cmdline truncated
Hi, in syslinux-386, I think I've found a problem in com32/lib/syslinux/load_linux.c that leads to cmdline being truncated unnecessarily when e.g. linux.c32 is used. The patch below fixes the problem for me. But I don't know, whether the patch is safe in all cases. I tried to reproduce the logic found in runkernel.inc, but I might have missed something. So, feel free to tell me
