pxelinux magic options 208
I have 2 groups of machines, and within each group the pxelinux menu
configuration is standard. It would be great to have 2 configuration files
rather than one for each machine.
I found the pxelinux magic option configfile (209) in
http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index.php/PXELINUX
and it suggests for ISC dhcpd:
site-option-space "pxelinux";
option pxelinux.magic

pxelinux bug's
Hello Peter,
The attached patch contains three small (although 2 of them are
fundamental :) fixes for pxelinux
1. Alignment error when more than one initramfs are loaded using initrd
- the alignment of the last disk is discarded in calculations but is
ALWAYS present when the loading procedure is called. As a result - the
second image (cpio) is not recognized.
2. On some platforms

R CMD check problem
Hi
I have a package that I'm testing.
It seems to install fine and it works, as far as I can tell.
For example, I can install the package, and use it,
and source the test suite with no errors.
My problem is with R CMD check.
It passes on R-2.2-0:
Robin-Hankins-Computer:~/scratch% R CMD check ./partitions_1.1-0.tar.gz
* checking for working latex ... OK

pxelinux.0 on pSeries
Hi,
I am new to this list, but would greatly appreciate any help on the topic.
We are trying to automate the build/installation of a pSeries machine
using kickstart server. We have a process in place that completes a
system build of xSeries machines. It uses pxelinux.0 to direct the
bootp to the kernel, ramdisk and kickstart.config file. I was trying
to use the same process to build the pSeries

Problem with rbfg and pxelinux
Hello again and thanks for your support.
I am trying out the pxe floppy - rbfg that you mentioned in your
previous email for some machines that are not pxe capable but have
supported network cards.
It looks like it is going to work but then hangs.
The dialog below is from a vmware session just for testing but I have
the exact same problem on an old IBM box with a Intel e100 card.

(this after asking the package author)
Hi
I cannot install the rmvnorm package under R-2.3.0, or R-2.3.1 beta.
It installs fine under R-2.2.1.
transcript for installation under R-2.3.0 follows.

pxelinux problem (plus a fix proposal)
Hello
I'm using the ISC-dhcp 3.0pl1 + pxe patch
(from http://savannah.gnu.org/download/pxe-toolkit/)
and pxelinux as the loader program.
It turns out that in my configuration pxelinux specific
DHCP options are sent out by the server encapsulated
within vendor extension option (option 43, RFC 1533).
Currently pxelinux cannot parse this correctly
(the full option 43 with it's contents is

Special dhcp options and PXElinux
Hi
I am trying to enable my dhcpd and pxelinux setup to use a specific
config file for a booting client. I have read the pxelinux page for
this (http://syslinux.zytor.com/pxe.php#special) but still seem to be
encountering problems.
When running the dhcpd with the '-d' debug option the daemon sees the
DHCPDISCOVER from the client and then core dumps. On the client side

RFC 3942 notice: PXELINUX, DHCP options 208-211
Dear friends,
In accordance with RFC 3942 I would like to submit the following DHCP
options for official consideration. These options are used by PXELINUX,
which is part of the SYSLINUX distribution, and although exact usage
count is impossible to determine, is widely held to be the most widely
used method for booting Linux from a network.

pxelinux using cisco router as a dhcp server
g'day,
i've been using pxelinux for a while on a bunch of machines in a lab.
i note your pxelinux site shows configuration for ISC DHCP server - you and
others may also find this useful ..
most Cisco IOS-based routers (& some IOS-based switches) can run as a DHCP
Server.
i use them with pxelinux with the following configuration:
ip dhcp pool dhcppool-vlan3-host12

Asterisk-11 loop behaviour
Arch = x86_64
OS = CentOS-6.4 (freepbx)
Asterisk = 11.4.0
FreePBX = 2.11.0.2
Snom870 Handsets
We are in the process of moving to an Asterisk based PBX. At the
moment most things work as we wish. However, I have just notices that
when I force a reload using 'amportal a reload' I see this loop start
in 'asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvv':

[PATCH 0/14] hivex: update gnulib and make "syntax-check" tests pass
Hi,
This series updates to the latest gnulib, after
making most of its "make syntax-check" tests pass.
There are still a few tests (listed in cfg.mk)
that are simply skipped. To enable one, just remove
its test name from the list of tests to skip and run
"make syntax-check".
[PATCH hivex 01/14] maint: add cfg.mk to prepare for syntax-check
[PATCH hivex 02/14] maint: remove

Dell problems with PXELINUX 3.62
Good day again Daniel,
So the first thing I did was to remove the >NUL for your XMSDSK line and
put a PAUSE after it in AUTOEXEC.BAT. That way, I could see the error
message:
*** XMS RAMdisk v1.9I (FU - 08/98): XMS get free mem error.
Then I noticed that if you run AUTOEXEC.BAT manually from the DOS CLI,
XMSDSK actually succeeds! So that led to a new test: Duplicate the
XMSDSK line.
