syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
Hum...
Some packets seems duplicated when captured from the server, but not
when captured from the mirror port. So let's assume that's ok.
I can't find anything in the capture of the non-modified version that
would look suspicious.
Anyway, syslinux.efi is supposed to be downloaded by the UEFI firmware
itself. It succeed but keep restarting for no apparent reason. Maybe

pxelinux efi64 boot woes on hyper-v gen 2

P.S. It's not this and I'm getting a PXE-E99 tftp failure "Unexepected Network Error", so I'll guess I'll need to investigate what kind of TFTP server makes hyper-v happy. Virtualbox, VmWare seem to have the same EFI boot code & output

Is There an Alternative to MEMDISK ?
This isn't an esp urgent issue, but I'd like to use a certain RAM diagnostic (Doc Mem) which I've already posted a note about a couple of months ago. Simply won't work booting the floppy disk image via MEMDISK. In the interim, I've tried to resolve this by changing things on my side. I'm pretty sure it's a XMS incompatibility, as it fails differently depending on

pxelinux: first contact with tftp is bad
Hello !
I'm french, my english is bad :-(
I want to boot a computer by network which have a 3Com network card. So I use
isc-DHCP, TFTP-hpa and PXELinux.
The computer start, make a dhcp request, receive the configuration.
The next step is to contact the tftp server to get pxelinux.0 and the
configuration.
Stop me if I made an error ;)
So, in the network I want to use it, there is a dhcp

Typo in "HowTos/PXE/Gparted_PXE"
Dear all,
Inside the "HowTos/PXE/Gparted_PXE" wiki document, the "tftproot"
directory should be "tftpboot", and the hyphens could be removed in the
following line:
Add the following lines to the pxelinux-configuration-file
(/tftproot/pxelinux.cfg/default by default)

PXE booting BartPE ISO file to Eee Pc
So I've been playing with this for hours and still unable to get everything
working properly. In short I'm trying to boot an ISO image created by BartPE
over pxelinux. When I attempt to do this it goes directly to a blank screen
that just has a blinking cursor. Here's what my setup looks like:
pebuilder.iso - the ISO file created from BartPE using WinXP SP2 CD as
source but with

Using of pxelinux configfiles for both BIOS and UEFI boot
Hello Gene,
thank you for your answer

pxelinux efi64 boot woes on hyper-v gen 2
Gene,
As it happened I started working on this again just as you mailed me.
It appears that PXE-E99 may also be related to MTFTP part of the PXE spec. IBM also says it has something to do with jumbo frames. I tried setting PXE.mtcp-ip to 0.0.0.0 to disable it but still no joy.
The bootfile size shows up as zero because that relates to "option boot-size" in dhcp and doesn't seem to

change tftpserver via pxelinux.cfg?
Hello!
Usually pxelinux loads everything from the same tftpserver.
Is there a way to load kernel_A from tftpserver_A and kernel_B from
tftpserver_B?
Thanks.

Is this correct ?
And how should the config-file look like. ?
I had search sipphone.com but did'nt find anything.

Hello all,
At the end of README.menu there is :
"...
It is also possible to load a secondary configuration file, to get to
another menu. To do that, invoke menu.c32 with the name of the
secondary configuration file.
LABEL othermenu
MENU LABEL Another Menu
KERNEL menu.c32
APPEND othermenu.conf"
I'm unable to have such a conf. working.

more on PXELinux confiuration file woes and "blkSize"
Hi
I just joined this list so sorry i don't just reply folowing mails.
I experienced the same problem where the boot just stop after reaching Ready.
I am using my own tftp server written in Java which previously has succeeded
a pxe boot. While searching for the "Ready" problem I found that the
tftpserver returned the wrong blksize. Instead off returning the size off the
data it

PXElinux bootscreens
I have not found in your documentation any discussion of Graphical frontends
to PXElinux (a la Syslinux).
Is this possible, or likely in the future?

Recursive pxelinux.0 and pxelinux.cfg directories.
I am trying to set a uniform PXE environment to load multiple distros.
RHEL 5.1 and 4.7
SUSE 10.2 and 11
Solaris 10 X86
Window Multiple server versions.... - Why? Because I am in hell.
What I want is to have an upper level pxelinux.0 call the default menu directories that come with the releases.
Is there a way to call pxelinux.0 and point it at a different pxelinux.cfg directory?
