Hello
What I'm trying to get at is this -- I'd like to analyze and understand what softwares that was used to build a library of softwares that made it as UBCD 4.x. This way, I would be able to use UBCD as a model to build customized ITS apps to be used for campus tech work. Is there some kind of step-by-step or user guide that explains how to build everything from scratch and what softwares

Memdisk + Freedos problem
I and some other people have problems with running the freedos image included in Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD), when using memdisk for floppy emulation. Memdisk starts booting the image and freedos shows the following menu: 0 Boot Clean 1 Boot UMBPCI (silent) 2 Boot UMBPCI (optimal) 3 Boot UMBPCI (semi-defensive) 4 Boot EMM386 (optimal) 5 Boot EMM386 (semi-defensive) 6 Boot no UMB (defensive) 7 Boot

Extracting ISO Images-How?
Hi All, I am looking at extracting UBCD ISO and installing modules via Insert to use some extra tools when cloning a CentOS install. How is this done via cli? I did a google search, but nothing seems clear to me at the moment. Could someone point me in the right direction? Cheers. Mark Sargent.

Please, read and reply it to me.
How do you do? I am a deaf and I am working at Gallaudet University as IT technician. For troubleshooting computer problem, I fixed over 4000 computers with different CDs such as Windows XP SP2, Dell 32bit Diagnostic Tools, Windows Memory Tester, Acronis True Image, ERD 2005, and others. Everyday, I brought many different CDs to different building for services. Really, I wanted to develop

A Few Syslinux 5.00-pre9 Bugs
Just a few bug-reports, before I forget: - A Windows installer bug for 4.06 and presumably 5.00-pre9 whereby the ADV contains backslashes. Reproduced with: syslinux.exe --directory \two\dirs e: - An open() (?) bug for 4.06 and presumably 5.00-pre9 whereby the filename /ubcd/custom/syslinux-5.00-pre9/com32/gplinclude/acpi/facs.h fails to open() after 134 iterations in a loop where it's

enhanced config.c32 module
For UBCD, we have a lot of config files. Isolinux will load /boot/isolinux/isolinux.cfg, which will load /ubcd/menus/syslinux/main.cfg Syslinux will load /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg, which will load /ubcd/menus/syslinux/main.cfg The /ubcd/menus/syslinux/main.cfg loads several other config files when you select the appropriate menu. From all those menus you can go back to

Add CONFIGISOLINUX, CONFIGSYSLINUX, CONFIGEXTLINUX and CONFIGPXELINUX
I would like to see that it is possible to specify which config file should be loaded. I would like to have an extension of the CONFIG command. Normally CONFIG loads the file that is specified after it. It should be nice if syslinux/isolinux/pxelinux/extlinux can choose which config file to load, based on the bootloader from which the current config is runned. If I will explain it with an

trouble booting install CD on old machine
Hi all, I'm having a bit of an issue booting the full 5.7 install CD on an older machine. I downloaded the ISOs earlier today, checked the sha1sums, and burned the CDs with no reported errors. But when I try to boot, the isolinux banner comes up quickly, but then instead of the boot prompt, I get a completely blank screen. After 30-60 seconds, I get a message in purple, the exact wording I

syslinux -> Windows 2008R2
Hello, I'm trying to use a current Syslinux setup, that is working well for service linux based distros, to serve up recent Windows server installs. As I'm new here I'm reluctant to make any changes to the environment unless I've exhausted the current options. We are running Syslinux 3.71 on a Gentoo server and all the DHCP and tftpd are "working as they should". What
