tftpd: read: Connection refused
Hello,
we have two diskless machines in a routed network.
Both get their IP adresse and tftp configuration via dhcp.
When we start one machine all works well, when the second machine tries
to download the kernel via tftp we get this error:

Error PXE-T01: File not found
Hi, everybody!
Problem in "tftp:(ack) Connection refused" was resolved with physically
turning on client PC to the server's subnet (4th).
Now I try to do remote booting, but after DHCP-request (it's
successfull) I get the error "PXE-T01: File not found, PXE-E3B: TFTP

logging location of tftpd-hpa
Hello,
On my previous TFTP server I had logging. I did see all requests in logfiles.
On my current TFTP server I have also added the options '-v -v -v',
but nog logging. At least I can't find it them in /var/log/*/*
Where does tftpd-hpa writes it's logging?

tftpd resends option ack during transfer
Uploading a >32MB file from a recent curl to tftpd fails because when the
block number rolls back to 0, tftpd transmits the option ack again, instead
of transmitting an acknowledgment for the block received. You don't see this
problem when using the bundled tftp client because it doesn't set any of the
options when uploading a file. Attached is a patch that fixes this, tested

I cannot seem to get the remap-file function of tftpd working right. I can sucessfully place files on the server but the remap feature is not working. I look in the logfile and it has an entry in there for tftpd.

advice wrt pxelinux & tftpd & dhcp
Ive got a mucho-kludgo (but working) setup where;
pxe-client boots an os-du-jour in runlevel 2,
rc.2 runs a test-script that ends in a reboot,
meanwhile, on tftp-server host,
a script watches the syslog, notes the arrival of an RRQ message for a
kernel,
and runs a program to rewrite the pxelinux.cfg/default file so that
it causes a different kernel to boot the next time.
This setup lets me

tftpd server S not responding
I have a tftpd server S running on centos 7 and managed by systemd
It is not respoding to A server which is sending the tftp read request RRQ.
I do see the RRQ packets coming from A to S, but S never responds back from
a different port Y to A
So this part is working fine

[tftpd PATCH 0/5] pidfile option and syslog fix
Hi,
This is my current patch queue. The patches are independent, AFAIK,
so feel free to cherry-pick or reject them independently.
The bottom one was needed for a successful build here; the top one
contains all the modifications you requested on IRC, and more.
Meanwhile I hit one of the four stray TABs in tftpd.c, and decided to
get rid of them.
Comments welcome.

[PATCH tftpd-hpa] tftpd: don't use AI_CANONNAME and AI_ADDRCONFIG to resolve addresses for bind
AI_CANONNAME is only relevant when the resulting official name is used,
which is not the case in tftpd for the address to bind to. Also
AI_ADDRCONFIG isn't helpful. This flag is good for sockets used to
connect(2) somewhere. But for listening sockets it makes tftpd fail to
start when -a 0.0.0.0:69 is passed and no network device is up yet.
This addresses Debian bug

Can TFTPD run in a chroot jail?
Hi,
I've been struggling with this problem for the last couple of hours and am
nowhere near solving the problem. I am trying to run a tftp server in a
chroot jail. Now perhaps I am being paranoid, but I would like to have it
launched from within its own jail even if it supposedly does a chroot itself
and runs with a parameterizable user.
I downloaded the atftp-server package and tried

I am hoping someone can help me out with a problem I am having getting my

The TFTP server appears to be setup properly:
