Cannot allocate Memory
Any of you guys ever seen an issue with Xen 4.4 were xm cannot create a guest because of what looks like an issue allocating memory even though xm info shows like 5x the amount of free memory needed? We are still unfortunately still using xm... it's on my list, i know.. We've had this happen on a couple hosts now. Only way to resolve seams to be rebooting the host. I'm going to

disk image creation, step by step
Hi, I am aware that it is impossible to netboot ISO files through pxelinux/memdisk and that there are multiple reasons for not even attempting it (like the operating system which will try to access a physical optical drive through its own drivers anyway, BIOS issues etc.). When people ask questions regarding ISO support in pxelinux/memdisk, they're mostly told to convert the ISO into a

Creating floppy image without root permissions?
Hello All: I've recently had to provision some RHEL and CentOS VMWare instances. There was no network connectivity so I had to use a kickstart floppy and DVD iso rather than installing from our repository. To create the floppy I used the following: As root: dd if=/dev/zero of=floppy.flp bs=1k count=360 mkfs.vfat floppy.flp mount -o loop floppy.flp /mnt/floppy cp base_kickstart.ks

I am not certain that this is the right place to post this, but maybe some kind soul can point me in the right direction if not. And I apologize if this is the wrong spot...The reason I posted here is that I recall running across a syslinux changlog that said "..added support for reading .spl..." files. I want to customize the suse boot up splash screens (for a CD install). I have been

maps and lattice
Is it possible to place maps onto lattice plots? With basic plotting you can add a map to a plot library(lattice) long<-c(-69.2, -69.5, -70.1, -70.3) lat<-c(41, 41.5, 43.2, 42.8) plot(long, lat) map('state', c("massachusetts"),add=TRUE) but is it possible with lattice? library(lattice) factor<-c(1,1,2,2) xyplot(lat~long|fact) ...now what? I have looked at panel and

memdisk : booting OpenBSD and NetBSD
hi there. I'm trying to boot several OSes floppy images from a cdrom via memdisk. Actually, Linux and FreeBSD boots fine, but, while i'm using the same method, I couldn't get into booting netbsd nor openbsd. The boot process seems to hang up, in those two cases, when the second stage native bootloader try to load the kernel (i'm not absolutely sure about this). The native first

Suppressing Form Feeds
Try adding the 'sf' option to the printer definition in /etc/printcap. The 'sf' stands for 'suppress form feeds'. If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll send you a copy of my printer definition, since I had the same problem and was able to fix it with one of the options. -- Derek Pizzagoni I.T. FIX vs FLP switch?
Gents, Where might I find the Fixed Point switch for the Silk portion of Opus 1.0.1? I have generated a config.h file and added #define FIXED_POINT to my project, but still get FLP compile errors in the Silk files. You would need to give more information really. Your sip.conf file listing the entries for the phones especially which codecs are permitted. A copy of the 'asterisk -rvvv' console output when you make the call.
